Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The thing Blackwidow liked the most about this time of the year was the fact that their work was rewarded more than in any other of the seasons. She entered camp with a dove, 3 field mice, and a dumb squirrel clamped precariously between her jaws. She didn't want to make multiple trips for such a haul but it did make a nice edition to the fresh-kill pile - especially that dove. She eyed it thoughtfully as she decided on a piece of prey to eat. The black she-cat licked her lips before picking it up once again, hauling it off the pile in order to eat off to the side. She settled down with it and looked up, her watchful yellow eyes scanning the clearing and landing on her brother, Wolfspider. It was almost strange, calling him her brother. She barely knew him, barely even talked to him. They were connected by the same, foul blood however so did she really have a choice? At least he didn't seem to be like their father.
Wolfspider had been dozing off in a sunny patch, drifting away in this own thoughts when suddenly something snapped him out of his day dreaming. He lazily watched a lady bug crawl across his paw, making no move to harm or kill the bug he simply waited until it crawled back into the grass and continued on its way. All the while he felt a pair of eyes on him. He strongly disliked the feeling of being watched because most of the time it was usually his mother who was watching him from the other side of the clearing. He lifted his head and glanced over, much to his surprise it was his sister. He barely knew her. He knew she was a hardworking and loyal warrior and she worked just as hard as he did to live down their bloodline. Wolfspider rose to his paws and hesitantly walked over to his sister. "Beautiful day we're having." he commented. "Did you catch that?" he asked, eyeing the dove. It was a nice catch.

She nodded, pointing towards the fresh-kill pile. "There's a particularly foolish squirrel on the pile as well if you'd like to join me." She remarked as she crunched down on the bird, spitting out a few feathers with a face of annoyance and disgust. "I love the taste of birds but eating them is such a pain in the tail." The black warrior sighed but continued working on the bird and plucking out some more of the feathers. They could be used for some nice lining in her moss to make it extra comfortable.
"Particularly foolish? I feel most squirrels are particularly foolish!" He responded with a laugh before grabbing the squirrel from the fresh kill pile and rejoining his sister. He took a few bites of his squirrel while Blackwidow plucked feathers from her bird. "You know birds are fun to hunt, but I'd much rather leave them for someone else to eat." he said with amusement. "Although at least their feather's make for a good nest lining." he added. He never could be bothered much to pluck feathers from a bird, unless he was starving and a bird was the only thing to eat. "I'm happy that the Clan seems to be growing stronger again and that the rogues didn't do too much damage to the territory while they were here." he added more quietly, quickly scanning the camp to make sure their mother wasn't within ear shot. Spottedfox had remained behind and joined the rogues when they'd taken over and then stayed behind when they'd left and rejoined SpringClan. Wolfspider wondered if she had any real loyalty to anyone and he wondered why Cardinalstar had accepted her back.

She shrugged. "You're probably right about the squirrels, that one just happened to run right under my paws when I wasn't looking for it." She chuckled at the memory before turning her attention back to the bird while she listened to her brother talk about the clan and the rogues... she wasn't sure how she felt about any of that these days or about their mother. She did not feel particularly close to either Spottedfox or Wolfspider, maybe it was because she tried for so long to separate herself from her father she separated herself from them too? The warrior couldn't be certain. "If I see another rogue on this territory I'll give him something to remember me by." She growled in a low and fierce tone, spitting a feather from her mouth. "Our mother doesn't seem to be much different these days though, she was a rogue with them." It was like the elephant in the room and she was not very good at avoiding elephants.
"That makes two of us!" Wolfspider responded with an amused snort. "Mother has tried to talk to me a few times since we've returned but honestly I'm trying to avoid her. She's always seemed unhappy here so I don't know why she doesn't just leave. Not many Clanmates like her. She's notorious for poor choices and betrayal and I don't know about you but I'm tired of trying to live down not only Tarantulastar's bad reputation but now we have to live down her's too and she's making it difficult by simply just... existing!" he hissed in annoyance.

She snorted, studying her brother with her green eyes. Maybe they were more alike than she had anticipated and that put her slightly at ease, she relaxed a bit and continued plucking at her bird. "You're right about all of that. It's hard, being their child. I'm too embarrassed to show my face around here sometimes. You know, I was going to leave springclan because I was embarrassed, but then I decided I couldn't let them win. I didn't want to be the one to lose."
Wolfspider scanned the camp quickly, looking for signs of their mother or any other Clanmate trying to be nosey but he quickly snapped his gaze back to Blackwidow when he heard her mention leaving. "Where would you have gone?" he asked in surprise. The thought of leaving SpringClan had truly never crossed his mind. Despite his bloodline, Wolfspider knew through and through that he was a Clan cat, a SpringClan cat and no matter what anyone thought of him he was never going to leave. "I also often wonder about Tarantulafang and Reclusevenom, they seemed to have just disappeared into thin air. I often wonder if they're dead or not." he added thoughtfully, thinking back to his brother's. "The sickening thing is that other than Tarantulastar driving out the non Clan born cats, I have no bad memories of him. I remember him playing with me as a kit and spending time with me. Like he was trying to be a good father, but he just wasn't a good cat."

She shrugged. "I don't know. I was just going to leave, most likely become a loner. He never really paid attention to me. I don't even remember playing with him. I only know what others have told me, I can't really remember him that way and I think I prefer it. It would be harder if I felt anything for him." She admitted. It was hard enough living in the wake of what he had done when she had been so small she could only just remember what was happening.
