Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The last time that Shae had a discussion with a Heda that was not Genesis or Octavia, things hadn't gone so smoothly. Hell, when she talked to Genesis, things didn't go so smoothly. Maybe that's just what happens when you return to see your ex-girlfriend in the position you should have been in. But, particularly, her discussion with the fruitloop that came before this one, Nemesis, was that her name? That hadn't gone well at all. Shae smirked; gods, she loved getting under other cat's furs, and Nemesys had made herself such an easy target. She had stayed clear of Absum Lux after that, though, at least for a while. She was too good to be a prisoner, and that's the role she had been threatened with. Now, she was back to pester the next heda.
Or at least, that's what she figured would happen in time. Of course, on the surface, Shae was a likeable feline. She was the kind of cat that people tended to trust, if she was in the mood to be trusted. If she didn't want to immediately cause an issue, she was sure that she could charm the other. She wasn't sure if she was in a good mood, though. Since Genesis, her good moods had been fewer and further between. Yet, she was a goal oriented creature, and she had one goal : reclaim what should be hers.
"Good afternoon," the recently returned Shae purred as she padded up to the very she-cat she would have to woo to get her way. "Pleasant day we're havin' here, hmm?" What did Jezebelle already know about Shae? She could only imagine what rumors had come before the twice-general.
Jezi had heard plenty about Shae - even mildly remember the she-cat from when they were both in Primal Instinct seasons ago. Shae had been a kitten when Jezi was a Huntress. She'd heard the younger she-cat had received a head injury and forgot some of her past. Which sounded terrible; Jezi would hate to suddenly not remember things that made her who she was. So when the she-cat she remembered as a kitten or a still growing Trainee slithered up to her and started talking, the pregnant Heda had to contain whatever shock she might have felt at being snuck up on.
Maybe being pregnant [i[was[/i] making her more jumpy. She was more worried about the unborn kits than herself. How sad. "Good afternoon, Shae." she responded with a smile as she focused on trying to slow down her pounding heart. "It's a fine day," she agreed, wondering where the conversation was going to go.
Her lips twitched into a half-smirk(the fire had destroyed many of the nerves in the left side of her face) and her eyes danced when the cat jumped a little. How amusing was it when she was in positions of power, when she could make cats tense. Of course, she knew that Jezi hadn't acted that way because she was scared of the burn-ridden brown tabby, but it had been a moment since she'd felt power over a cat that wasn't one of her newest litter. She enjoyed it. It reminded her of when she was on top of the world, the first time she became general, when she had won the childhood game of power she played with Byre.
"I didn't mean to scare you, love," she meowed with a twitch of her tail. "I should know by now not to sneak up on others, hmm..." She laughed a soft laugh, one that was surprisingly comforting for the feline from which it originated. She was a master at pretend. "I was hoping to talk to you about Absum Lux. It's been a while since I've been in the city, and I'm curious about what I've missed."
