Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Fawnheart laid in a sunny patch in camp, her beautiful cream coat illuminating in the sunlight. She looked elegant and flawless, a treat for the eye. Her beautiful amber eyes were closed as she drifted off into a light snooze. Her ear swiveled to a sound that disrupted her dozing. She lifted her head and turned to see a clanmate standing above her.
Danggit. Icefrost winced slightly. His attempt to sneak passed the she-cat. Seeing as hes been noticed, he gives her a friendly smile. "H-hey," he said hesitantly, "sorry about that. I didnt mean to disturb you." Sticking low to the ground, he began to back away slowly. "I'll, uh, let you get back to, uh..." His voice trailed off as he didnt know what she was doing before he intruded.
"Don't be silly" she purred. "Your fine! Did you need something?" Some cats still came to her for medical advice if Softpelt was busy since she was previously Springclan's medicine cat.
He paused, thinking for a moment, before shaking his head. "Nothing comes to mind. I just-" He stopped himself from finishing the sentence. "I actually just wanted some sunlight. You don't mind if I join you, do you?" he asked nervous. He didn't have much of the confidence his brother boasted, so this conversation was making him more nervous with every passing moment, especially with a she-cat who looked as magnificent as she does.
He nodded and moved close to her, taking a seat. "Its not too bad," he replied, shrugging. "What about you?" He relaxed a little knowing that she wasnt upset about earlier.
Icefrost looked the she-cat over. His eyes widened briefly seeing that she was carrying kits. "Congrats," he said before lowering his voice. "The father sure is lucky"
It at first didn't occur to her what he was congratulating her for until he mentioned the father being lucky. "Oh! Yes! Thank you" she purred, licking her belly. "It won't be long, now, before they arrive."
He nodded. "Have you decided on names yet?" His ears flattened feeling intrusive. "I mean, if you dont mind me asking you that." If he was being honest with himself, he was a bit jealous as well.
"He's...excited. He's mostly worried about being a good father." She explained. "I don't blame him. I'm worried myself. I've never been a mother before. I used to be a medicine cat. I was never suppose to have kits." She looked down at her belly with a smile, "but I'm also excited. I can't wait to meet them."
He nodded. "That's good." He thought for a moment before saying his next sentence unsure of whether or not it would be too...awkward? Weird? He just met her, but never met the tom. He mentally shrugged it off and and went with it. "I'm sure you and him will be good parents," he said with a reassuring smile.
His was caught by surprise by the question, but shook his head sadly. "Not at the moment, no." He was a bit on the shy side, but he was still confident in his social ability. Somewhat.
"Oh. Well, its hard to believe that you don't. Your so kind. I'm sure it wont take you long" she offered him a warm smile, one that could be mistaken for a slightly more than a friendly smile.
He looked at her. "You think so?" He always thought things happened for a reason and his lack of a significant other was all part of plan that will come around eventually. He looked down, slightly embarrassed. "That's nice of you to say," he added.
"I know so." She purred with a wink. "I hate to admit it but I had my eyes on a few toms before the father of these kits. Unfortunately, I don't think any of them were interested." She mewed with a chuckled when she began reminiscing. "There was one tom I liked back when I was a medicine cat apprentice. I'm not sure what happened to him. I think he went off on his own eventually. Even when you think you will never find a mate, one day love will surprise you. It hits you when you least expect it." Her voice was soft like silk and just as smooth as honey as she spoke of her past. She didn't mind talking about her past and all the lessons she had learned.
He shrugged, unsure if that would happen or not. "I suppose you're right," he reluctantly said. He did wonder one thing though. "How did you two meet," he asked.
