There were quite a few cats standing vigil at the perimeter of the camp. Not because they were newly promoted apprentices, but because they were in trouble for throwing a rotten fish into the medicine cat den. It seemed like a harmless prank, but it wasn't discovered for quite sometime. It was only until the rats found the strange odor that anyone knew of it. Unfortunately the rats carried diseases and the suspected cats involved were forced to stand guard silently for the night. or at least it was supposed to be silently. One of them did the prank and most of them were certain it wasn't themselves. If they were going to prove their innocence they'd have to talk to one another to figure something out.
Heatherpaw tilted her head back in a heavy teenager sigh, "Okayyyy guys. Let's just confess who did it cause I obviously didn't do it. Like come on, I'm me and you're you. It has to be one of you right?" She winked, hoping her charm would make someone, legit anyone even if they weren't guilty admit their crimes.
( i have no idea whether or not i promoted chaoticpaw but oh well he's an apprentice now )
"That sounds just like something the cat who really did it would say," Chaoticpaw murmured, rolling his eyes. "Whoever did throw it isn't just gonna confess like that, you know. If we wanna try getting a confession, we're gonna have to do some major interrogating, or something. And speaking of interrogating, what's your alibi, Heatherpaw?"
Why Fia Cendrillon was here, she wasn't entirely sure. She wasn't exactly a 'funny' cat by any stretch of the imagination, so it was hardly likely she'd pulled any sort of prank. Now, actually trying to murder the cats of DayClan by drawing in diseased rats, that was entirely possible. After all, she was Wanderingwight's 'daughter', and had a penchant for causing pain and suffering for no more reason than she could. As such, she didn't particularly have any friends. Perhaps that was why she was here. Someone assumed this was right up her alley, and blamed her for it, regardless of proof or lack thereof. All the same, it was a bad idea to put her with so many others, as she was liable to just start causing trouble instead. Which was exactly her plan.
"How about we just blame Heatherpaw?" The fiery feline drawled, her voice a bitter chill in comparison with her coat, a tone that seemed to suck the warmth from the air around her, leaving her at the center of everything as a burning ember with flickering eyes of flame.
"Or better yet, why don't we just ditch? What are they going to do, stop us? Most everyone's asleep anyways." Besides, even for an apprentice, Fia, at least, was a rather terrifying cat, and there were few who would be willing to go toe to toe with an apprentice who had no qualms with turning on her own if it was convenient. With more than one of them, it should be pretty easy to escape without waking the entire camp. "We can figure out who did it, come up with a game plan, find something interesting to do, and come back in the morning, or whenever we get bored."
As far as punishments went, this was mostly just to bore them, the apprentice expected, and it relied on them actually listening to instructions. Another reason that she really shouldn't have been included. Listening to orders never had been one of her strengths.
Heatherpaw gasped at Chaoticpaw's insinuation, "You're the one named Cha-o-tic-paw! Who's to say that you didn't do it! And I waaaas, at the apple orchard," She said in a sing song voice, "Yup, you know how this girl loves her galas!"
She pointed an accusing paw to Fia Cendrillion, "And you, you're granddaughter to Glowstar, bet you thought you could get away with it. I bet you think you could kill me now and no one would care. I see it written in your eyeballs. But you know what? I bet you don't care enough that even if you didn't do it you'll confess. Because hey, curiosity and boredom can get the best of you. So how about you just confess regardless of your innocence or not."
A dangerous grin flashed across the she-cat's maw. Heatherpaw was right. Not about the willingness to confess, after all, she wasn't stupid. More about the murderous ideas. "Actually, that sounds like a great idea! You're annoying enough, I think we just drown you and pin you as a traitor. How about it?" In one swift movement, Fia had slid up beside the other apprentice, one forleg draped around the irritating she-cat's shoulders, pulling her in dangerously close and trapping her where she was. "Let's be honest, no one's going to miss you anyways. You're just another pretty face, and we don't really need any more of those. I think your sisters would appreciate their newfound freedom from your existence." Her teeth glinted in the darkness, near to the honey brown eyed feline's face, cutting words whispered frigidly into the strawberry blonde's ear, as the shadows seemed to react to the sound of the demon child's voice. "I know I would."
"Hey!" She said, before her eyes caught up with her reaction at that deadly looking grin. Landing on her back she struggled, her training out the window as her paws tried desperately to make Fia Cendrillion's paws move off of her. She practically shrank back inside of herself, knowing that the horror Fia spoke of wasn't a threat, it was a promise. Her voice came out weak at first, but strengthened as she spoke, "Well. You think you can just do whatever you like and that Glowstar will cover for you, well she won't. She'd execute you herself! And then she'd..." She let out a growl, "You don't have the right to do this to me!"
