Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
So I wanted to make this thread because I've made a few changes within SpringClan and I feel like this is the easiest way to explain them. This thread is also going to be left open as a suggestion thread so if you have any plot ideas or suggestions please feel free to comment on this thread!
For starters the Japanese Garden is now a sacred spot in SpringClan. Hunting is strictly forbidden here. Once a month the entire Clan meets here and the medicine cats summon StarClan and StarClan communicates with SpringClan. On a rare occasion a warrior can visit the Garden and StarClan can chose to communicate with this warrior individually, although this doesn't happen frequently.
Necklaces. The river that runs through the valley is filled with colorful river stones. After each apprentice completes training they are presented with a stone that best suits the traits they exhibit. Each color represents something different. The necklace is made out of vine and holds the stone. You can choose your own color or it will be assigned when the apprentice becomes a warrior. The leader, deputy, MC, MCA and The Trusted members each have a cherry blossom added to their necklace, to signify their significance within the Clan. Red - Bravery Blue - loyalty Purple - love Green - generosity Yellow - friendship Pink - guidance Black - wisdom
Promotions: From here on out in order for an apprentice to be promoted from apprentice to warrior there will need to be a training thread with at least 10 replies. Also there will be an assessment of sorts that will either be run by Cardinalstar or Shadedsun and is mandatory to reply to. What the assessment is, is up to the leader or the deputy- whoever is running the thread at that particular time. Apprentice to warrior ceremonies will also be held at the Japanese Garden, immediately following their assessment, at this time they will be presented with their necklace and stone.
New ranks: So SpringClan has a new rank which is called The Trusted. This is strictly a role-play position so anyone can sign up. The Trusted consists of the deputy, medicine cat, medicine cat apprentice, and four warriors. This rank replaces the senior warriors spot. The cats in The Trusted offer advice to Cardinalstar when he asks for it and he will often go to them for advice when dealing with important matters pertaining to the Clan.
For the necklace thing, maybe if you're a a certain rank (like leader, deputy, med or even a trusted) you receive a specific thing to go on the necklace, whether it be a specific color of stone or a plant. There can even be a little ceremony in the Garden presenting this item, kind of like presenting the certain cat for StarClan, I guess??
@peepingpeeper - I like that! Maybe add a cherry blossom for the Med cat, deputy, leader and trusted? since cherry blossoms are easy to come by in SC and I was thinking of moving all ceremonies to the Japanese Garden instead of doing them in the camp but haven't really decided on a definite for that or maybe after an apprentice's assessment they meet the leader, deputy, and their mentor in the Garden and they are presented with their stone?
That'd be really good! And if they get cherry blossoms, since they're extremely common within SpringClan it's like they're connected to it, and the trusted can have a certain other type of flower. And yeah, like instead of the warrior ceremony being in front of the Clan, it can be a private thing, a small ceremony with, like you said, the leader, deputy, med-cat, and their mentor.
