Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Open for anything really, but mostly bond building)
Sometimes, a little alone time is what's needed. Poisonrush sat in middle of the clearing, his tail swishing, deep in thought. Whenever he's not training, hes thinking, constantly going over various situations of what may or could happen. At any point, the clan could come under attack by another clan or a rogue group could think they're hot stuff and decide that they want to take over. He shook the thoughts from his head. He knew if that were to happen, his comrades would do everything in their power to defend this land. However, other thoughts took their place - he wasnt particularly close to anyone. On one paw, he saw it as a good thing, but on the other, it wasn't. Questioning himself, he wondered why it was that way. Was there something wrong with him that other cats saw or was he just that anti-social? His tail flicked in annoyance as he couldnt figure out what the issue was.
"Whachya thinkin' 'bout?" Foxfoot hummed as dropped a shrew in front of Poisonrush's maw, and another right where Foxfoot took a seat next to the other tom. He offered the darker tom a bright smile with fiery amber eyes to boot. "Maybe it's just me, but I feel like its easier to think over a meal."
Poisonrush jumped, slightly startled by the sudden appearance of the tom. He returned a friendly smile of his own before replying. "Nothing special really." he said before crouching down and taking a bite. "Thank you, by the way." he said grateful. Usually when hes deep in thought, he loses his hunger, but this time was an exception.
He chuckled and nodded. "No problem, and really? Nothing special? You sure looked like it was something serious." He prodded before taking a bite of his own prey. "Greenleaf is coming up soon, y'know? There's gonna be lots of things changing; the most change happens in the warmest moons- at least, that's what I feel like."
He thought about sharing but ultimately thought against it, shaking the thoughts from his head. "Its nothing too serious," he replied reassuringly, before taking another bite of prey. "But what kind of changes do you mean," he asked curiously.
"Well, my mates going to be kitting soon so that's one change." It was still a bit crazy to him, becoming a father, but he was taking his new role in great strides. "We have a new deputy now, and I've heard whispers about some of the other Clans coming into new leadership." The somali tom mused in an almost melodic tone. "This next gathering sure will be an interesting one!"
He raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Well congratulations on that," he replied. Deep down he was a little envious of the tom and his family, but he was sure his time would come. Eventually. "That's interesting. I wonder why that is." He looked up in between the leaves into the sky for a moment before looking back at the tom. "Have you talked to the new deputy yet? I'm usually not around often so I havent formally met him?
He sighed and shook his head. "I haven't gotten the chance to yet, either. To be honest, the whole fatherhood thing has been really stressing me out." He let out a dry awkward laugh. "I'm not really sure what to do. It was so unexpected- it still is, really. I don't think either of us were... ready for this, I guess. Being still so young both in life and our relationship." Foxfoot rambled on. While he didn't really mean to unpack on the stranger, it felt good in a way. To have someone new to talk to.
He let out a quiet chuckle. "I can understand that. I mean, I dont have any personal personal experience with relationships or parenthood, all things considered, but you dont seem like a bad cat to me. I'm sure you'll do fine," he assured. He winced a little, realizing how pathetic he sounded. Trying to free his mind of the negativity he asked, "How'd you two meet?"
“Thanks, I appreciate that a lot actually.” He offered a kind smile and warm amber eyes as his thanks for the compliment. “As for how we met,” Foxfoot chucked lightly, “that’s a long story. To make it short and sweet though, she used to be the medicine cat if SpringClan. Before she died, Eternalstar sent her away here to FallClan. We met, went on a small hunt, and the rest is history.” It felt nice, actually, reminiscing about his and Fawnheart’s first moments together.
Poisonrush smiled. Strangely enough, it brings him contentment seeing others happy. He wasnt the spiteful type unlike other cats hes seen. "Well I'm glad you found one another," he said. "Its unfortunate that she was sent away from her clan, but, I guess, I'm the end, it all worked out. Maybe it was...destiny?" Sometimes things happen a certain way for a reason, he thought to himself.
