Finally, the world looked like what it was supposed to be; the rushing of cool water roaring in your ears wherever you went in the territory, the happy chirping of birds flying overhead, the splash of fish returning from their winter migration or hibernation, and from the elevated status of Waterclan's camp: green as far as the eye can see, from the marshland all the way to the distant mountains. For most of the warriors, this change from Leafbare to Greenleaf was welcome but generally overlooked, as many had already lived through the transition many times before.

But for the kits...born in late Leafbare or early Newleaf...it was magical.

"Good morning, everyone! What should we do today?"
Up bright and early as always, Slipkit herself had gone through quite a change. No longer a timid and scrawny little ball of fluff, the young she-cat was just finally starting to grow into herself as the day of her apprentice ceremony drew near. Her long, silver tabby pelt now flowed around her like a cloud, and her clover eyes were just as bright as her charming smile. With every passing day, she looked more like a princess; worthy of the leader-filled bloodline that she had been born into. Squirming out of the playful grip of her aunt Tinybreath, the kit bounded over to where a small group of her denmates had gathered, letting out a cheerful mew of greeting.
