Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Diamondheart stood tall among the meteorite. She surveyed her Clan, the ones who had so graciously not only let her and her kits live in peace, but has given her respect and authority. She knew that she had to give her deciples guidance in these mysterious times; for their great and respected leader, Valleystar, had dissapeared not even a moon ago. She had felt this day coming in the pit of her stomach. To be completely honest, she had hoped that it wouldn't have come this soon.
She let out a deep, great sigh. The forest cat stood as tall as her breed would let her, puffing out her white mane, calling to her Clan, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here at the meteorite."
Roaringsun stood at the entrance of the nursery next to Blizzardglow, tail flicking away his nosey kits.
Frostpaw sat at the front of the gathering next to her siblings, in clear view of their mother.
Eveningpaw gave her brother Ghoulmask a solem look as she took a place next to him. Pressing her soft body against his own, she sighed deeply. "Do you think mothers alright?" She whispered with a flick of her tail.
Ghoulmask's sapphire blue eyes narrowed and though his expression looked dark and serious, he did the best he could in comforting his sister, pressing himself lightly against her flank before pulling away. "I don't know." He muttered. "Whatever this is, it isn't good."
Blizzardglow sat proud beside her brother, Roaringsun. Not even a moon ago, their leader had disappeared amidst the night; what happened to her as of right now, was unknown. A soft sigh drifted from her lips as she leaned her weight slightly into her brother, seeking some sort of comfort. When will this turmoil end?
Dapplesun took her place among the growing crowd, turquoise eyes gazing around the clearing as she took into account what was happening. Was Diamondheart about to announce herself as leader?
Midnightdance, Glacierpaw, and Blackpaw sat among the crowd, awaiting with eager ears.

Sablecrown sat at the base of the large stone, tail curled around her paws with a bored look. She'd, obviously, noted their leader's disappearance but had assumed that it had to do with some sort of covert operation. Now, however, with Diamondheart calling a clan meeting she had to assume it was worse than that. Truly, the quality of their leadership had gone down ever since her father left the position. The arrogant she-cat cast a critical gaze around the clearing, silently judging each cat to the fullest extent of her power.
Diamondheart watched as her Clan gathered below. She gave Valleystars kits a solemn look, then her own the same. With a deep breath, the forest cat began her speech.
"It is with a heavy heart that I must share with you all that Valleystar has... gone astray. Her mind, just like with the dark warriors we have faced before, had been tainted far more than what Mistyveil and StarClan can do." She paused, letting the words sink in, not letting the looks of horror and gasps of despair rippling through the crowd get to her. Not yet, at least.
"As Crowned, I must take full authority and rebuild what Valleystar has left standing in her wake. I cannot do this alone, however, and will be taking this new journey into Sovereignty with our new Crowned, Blizzardglow." This time she finished her sentence with a strong flick of her tail, giving the unsuspecting molly an acknowledging nod.
Roaringsun couldnt believe it. He looked at his sister, face contorted half in disgust, half in annoyance. Without even thinking, he blurted out "WAIT!! BUT WHO'S GOING TO WATCH MY KITS?!"
She was distracted by Roaringsun's kits who were trying their best to push through the barrier he and she had made, but as soon as Diamondheart had announced the Crowned, her alarmed gaze snapped back up to their new Sovereign. "What?" So many questions ran through her head as she tried to decide what to make of this situation. Her, the Crowned? Sure, she was of pure WinterClan blood, and had proven herself countless times that she was a true WinterClan soldier, but that didn't mean anything. She was just doing her job. "I'm flattered. Thank you, Diamondheart, and thank you to StarClan for choosing me."
She dipped her head, though her eyes were wide with panic as she looked at the ground. What was she going to do, now? Roaringsun was incapable of raising those kits by himself - hell, sometimes she thought he was incapable of loving properly. He was always the one to stand off in the shadows, observing their younger siblings from afar. He wasn't a paws-on type of tom. "Maybe you should take some responsibility and raise them yourself," Blizzardglow suddenly said in a hushed tone, though her voice was sharp with a hiss apparent in it. She now rested her stern gaze on Roaringsun.
The white tom’s sapphire eyes narrowed, but he kept his mouth shut. His opinions would be unwanted and his duty was his priority; above all else, he’d need to keep a clear mind if he was to be successful. Lightly shaking himself, he straightened his posture and nodded curtly once. Blizzardglow it is.
Crimsonrose and Mysterypaw sat side by side the dark ginger she cat looking impassive, Mysterypaw doing her best to imitate.
Though Crimsonrose's eyes narrowed darkly at Roaringsun, her displeasure of his outburst when Blizzardglow was crowned apparent. She'd never seen herself the motherly type, but that had changed with Mysterypaw.
Arizonaraspberry nodded her head at Blizzardglow, showing her silent congratulations. She did not know the soldier well enough to know if she was the right choice or not to lead WinterClan out of the cave it had drug itself into.
She watched as the crowd murmured words of confusion and congratulations. Roaringsuns outburst gave her a good chuckle- something she really needed- and let her new Crowned to the work of reprimanding her depressed brother.
"There is more, however," She spoke again with a booming voice. "With the fall of Valleystar, came the disappearance of one of our Knights not too long ago. Hiddencrest, a respectable tom and Knight, has not been seen for almost the entire season. As Valleystar had not chosen her new Knight before she.... left," Diamondheart tried her best to keep the situation as under wraps as possible, choosing her words carefully as to not let the masses worry, "I shall not only be Knighting a new cat, but I shall be instating an entirely new rank within our Clan." She watched as the crowd almost all cocked their heads in unison, eyes curious with what the former Crowned was to announce.
blue "Violahope." She put all eyes on the other unsuspecting molly. "You have served your Clan well in your moons as a Frozen, a warrior, a thane, a soldier; and now you shall serve us once again as a Knight." She gave the molly a smile and a small nod of acknowledgment.
"As for our new rank within the Clan. As now Sovereign and your former Crowned, I know that we cannot do our jobs alone. I know that Valleystar needed guidance in her leadership and life, and I do not want me nor Blizzardglow to fall prey to the same sickness and mind tricks that she was subject to." Maybe she had already said too much with that, but Diamondheart was now on the verge of tears just thinking about what happened to Valleystar. Would this new rank even provent it, or is it just her sad attempt as trying to cover up her nerves? She didn't know the answer, and to be frank, she didn't really care so much in the moment. All she cared about really was her Clan right now, her disciples, who were counting on her to lead.
"I would like to introduce you all to our Marquess. They will be our advisors, Blizzardglow and I. These cats have not only proved their dedication and worth to the Clan, but are leaders in their own rights. They will serve as our counsil, our companions, our dedicates." The crowd seemed to get louder now with this new announcement, letting her words sink in once more, letting the crowd wonder which cats she would announce into higher status next.
Palebriar's gaze found Diamond... star?'s, although it was clear that the feline had no sense that they might be the next to be promoted. After all, the cat didn't think that they were very leaderly. They often kept to themselves, mostly because their very existence was a challenge to the structures that created the world around them. It was easier, then, to stay to the sides. Still, they listened intensely, not because they figured their name would be called, but because they were truly interested. Power was changing, and when power changed, it was something that cats should take note of.

Their hearts were tattered and spirits thin. The brown tabby watched as his clan milled about and the discomfort that passed through them like a ripple with the announcement of Valleystar's fate. Hawthornberry's tail twitched with a little bit of anxiety as he pictured Hiddencrest out among the cliffs alone. He had made such a long journey from Fallclan to Winterclan and the dangers he encountered were not near as frightening as the ones further north beyond the bleak mountains. His eyes shifted from Diamondheart to his adopted kits. The thought still sounded odd in his mind. Being a former medicine cat, the spiky brown tom was not meant to have a mate or kits. However, as he gazed into each of their eyes, he did not regret leaving his life of healing for this. Juniperkit, Woodkit, Rowankit, Redbudkit, and Coffeekit. Their names reflected the memories he once had in Fallclan. Now, he was loyal to a different clan. His appreciation for Winterclan was probably even stronger than what he had felt in Fallclan. The feeling of being home. He knew subconsciously that some of the clan was still skeptical about letting a former Fallclan medicine cat join their ranks and become family, but many had come to accept him. His cheery spirit was vastly different than the stark cold of the mountains, but it somehow enhanced the little growing glow of warmth in the group.
Sprucepaw watched his mother, sympathy and respect gleaming in his yellow eyes. She was so brave, but he knew she had to be a little frightened of the future. Valleystar's sickness had certainly taken a toll on the group. Not to mention, Wolfpaw's untimely death.
Tigerpaw rolled his eyes at Roaringsun's outburst then picked his way through the crowd to sit beside Dreamingkit and the others. "Don't worry. I'll make sure you are fed." He snorted, flicking each of them over the ear with his tail. A part of him was serious, though. He would watch over those kits and protect them with all of his strength.
