Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. i'm finally getting my things together and staring these ! basically, as y'all know, the brookclan religion is complex, but it's also interactive. to understand the religion a little better, click here !
now that you're all educated up, we are looking to fill some rp positions ! anyone on the site, regardless of other positions, length of membership on the site, etc, may apply ! however, some baseline activity is expected from all of the positions, as these positions are integral to the workings of brookclan and the events that we have !

MARLI With all things, patience is required. Kindness and empathy reign supreme. The embodiment of all things gentle is Marli, the goddess of death. Her patience is inspiring, knowing no bounds. Despite ruling over death, her being screams of life and healing. She can manipulate emotions and heal those who are in pain, and she is the deciding factor in death. Despite her patience, she is to be feared and revered. Taking on the form of a black-footed cat, her brown and black pelt is magnificent and well-groomed. Her yellow-green eyes are soft yet striking, kind yet calculating at the same time. Unlike Devonei, her judgements are based on her heart, and she tends to be quite lenient with those judgements. Despite these differences, she's rather close to both Devonei and Nivet, often being seen nearby one of them. She prefers to walk among the mortals more than most gods, and tends to not tamper in their affairs unless it involves a kit or apprentice. It isn't unusual for her disciples to see her, as she enjoys talking and walking with them. The one thing she doesn't tolerate is cruelty or indifference. She's strongest in leaf-fall, during which her powers multiply and become more abundant.

His appearance, for the most part, is fair and slightly handsome, if not a bit simple. His fur is a plush short and white, his eyes two pale blue orbs like fresh lake water. Only his muzzle's tip is an off ebony black with a purplish sheen, as if he's dipped his muzzle in ink made of raven's wings. His only other distinct identifiable marking is a scar cut across his left cheek. He's a quiet cat, but one with a fatherly charm and a trustworthy demeanor, seemingly in touch with the common folks as much as he is the high priest. Although he sometimes appears less approachable, he has a sort of noble respectable air to the way he carries himself. DEVONEI }-- god of order The time between the rising and setting of the sun is set in stone. Each day predetermined and mapped out in the sky. Each star is told when to twinkle and when to fall. Each queen given a time for when she will give birth each cat a day when he will take his last breath. Order. Structure. Law. Nothing in nature falls out of place. Devonei sees to this. A large, rather massive really, white cat covered in rusty pale ginger spots scattered across his long pelt. His has large paws tufted with white fur. His tail is thick and rounded like a raccoons, his ears sharply pointed with tufts at their tips. Around his neck and heavy on his shoulders sits a large mane of thick fur. Here the rusty spots re larger and darker than on the rest of his pelt. His eyes are a dark honest yet sharp shade of pale fern green with flecks of starlight fire in their depths. Devonei chooses to interact with his devoted as personally as possible. In his experience cats who worship but do not see are likely to falter. By seeing him they fear him. Appearing only in dreams when he is tied up in other matters. Devonei likes to consider himself the god of rulers. He holds leaders and teachers to a higher standard as they are responsible for those they influence. Some would say Devonei even enjoys his task of maintaining order. Following the patrols to make sure they dont cross borders or steal what is not theirs. Following a lover to make sure they dont break those laws around external clan relations. Devonei is a jealous god and expect the fealty of his followers. It is not below him to deal punishment where it is due.

Cauil- god of life Death is simple. You breathe your last breath, you close your eyes, your heart stops pumping, and you die. Life on the other hand is complex. Twists and turns are aplenty but they all lead down the road to death. With the joys of fortune and the lows of suffering, this feline is found to be the one pulling the strings. Stocky in build, this tom resembles a dark grey thunder cloud. He is loud, with a booming voice and step, carrying an expression that matches what his followers and fellow gods would construe as anger. However like an angry thunder cloud, although destruction and misfortune may occur in his presence and when he is called upon, life flourishes behind. Suffering that he causes those who are blessed by his name are to grow stronger than any other. Those who are blessed by his fellows would call this purposeful infliction of pain abuse, however there is a silver sliver of caring in his ghastly green eyes, one that only his followers may know. He believes strife with no purpose is careless and hateful, and does not wish to be this sort of deity, although the others around him may think him that way. Like life, he is more complex than most would like to admit unless they have experienced him themselves.

The smallest, but most certainly not the least. He is the judge of the living, a being of discipline without an ounce of sympathy, for the law is steadfast and certain, leaving no room for compromise. It is those who seek justice, who value it more than anything else, who are dedicated to him. They are the merciless and cold, who care not for intentions, but instead live by the letter of the law. Devonei himself is a rather hands off god, in the sense he rarely makes himself known on any standard day even to his followers. After all, your true colors shine when you think no one is watching. Even when he is not seen, however, his presence can be felt presiding silently over each trial conducted by BrookClan, as well as anywhere where a contract may be formed or a law created. This lack of appearance does not mean he is lax or ignorant to the ongoing of the clan and his followers. No, if anything, he knows more than just about anyone, ochre eyes watching over the clan meticulously, judging each action and doubtful thought to cross their minds. The rusty-spotted cat is there, forever and always, to maintain order and ensure that the guilty do not go unpunished for their misdeeds. He is judge, jury, and executioner, and he would have it no other way.
