Graythorn was worn out from days and nights working with those cats plagued by the nightmare illness. Even though he was still young, he had decided upon selecting an apprentice to help him with his massive duties. Not finding Sweetpaw in the den, he went out into the camp to look for her. Where IS that apprentice anyway? he thought as he scanned the camp from in front of the medicine den.

He decided to check the elder's den but they said she hadn't been there. Next he decided to try the nursery. "Where is that cat?!" he muttered under his breath as he made his way over there. "When I find her, I'll show her how to remove ticks with mouse bile."
