Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. It had recently become a habit for the black-furred tom to end up at the border. It wasn't long ago that another cat that shared his blood had paced back and forth across this scent line. The difference, however, was that his sister had crossed the border. And she hadn't come back. He only sought to return his lost littermate to where she belonged. He wasn't picky about the state she might be in, though.
Most cats might feel betrayed and almost horrified at the Janus' defection from her birth Clan, but green-eyed Deadringer saw only opportunity in her betrayal. He had been disappointed at his mother's death seasons ago, but with Fearfulwhisper's favorite child a traitor there was finally a chance to get back at the mother that scorned him. Foxstar certainly hadn't said she expected her Clan to spare the former Janus after all. His claws tore at the ground as he patrolled from one end up DayClan's border to the other, casting sideways glances to the land beyond the markers in the hopes to catch a familiar flash of ruddy brown and white. Twistedecho was going to suffer for her mistake, and it was going to be by Deadringer's claws when it happened. He'd make sure of that.
