Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
If there was one character that understood Twilightbell's predicament, it was probably Littlebird. The two of them were in very similar situations, having risen to power only to make a mistake of taking on a lover in another clan. Her own kits had only just been promoted to apprentices, and now she found herself in charge of an entire clan now that Foxstar had been kidnapped. She was not only their leader, but their healer, and their guide. It was big paws to feel, and she could only hope that she could live up to their expectations.
She made her way into the nursery to check on the young newborns. "Good morning Twilightbell, how are you feeling?" she questioned warmly, glancing down and the wiggeling bundles.
Honestly, Twilightbell had been keeping to herself here lately. The shame she had felt at being revealed as someone who had taken a mate from MoonClan was more than she could bear. Of course her feelings for Pond were mixed as well. She had realized that she hardly knew anything about him at this point. Sure he had left MoonClan to be with her and the kits, but had he come for the kits or her as well? She had no way of knowing if she had even been put into the equation. Now as she lay there with the tiny kits at her belly, she had to wonder what sort of life they would have here.
"Good morning Littlebird..." Twilightbell's voice was unusually quiet. "I've decided on their names already if that is what you've come for. I know I haven't announced them to the clan yet, but I just haven't had much time." Of course she had time. She had been avoiding most people since the truth came out. She was nursing her wounded pride while trying to decide if her relationship with Pond was even worth it. She just hadn't felt like facing the others just yet.
The gray she-cat lowered her muzzle, eyes sweeping over the young kits. She had examined them shortly after they born, however it was important to keep a close eye on them until there eyes had opened. "I'm glad to hear that" she purred warmly, not the type to force someone into speaking unless they wished to.
"Actually I came to check on you and the little ones. How is your milk coming in? Are you in any pain? Do you have any questions? There is no hurry to announce their names to clan, you should be resting and bonding with your litter" she kept her voice calm and soothing, but taking note of how quiet Twilightbell had become. She didn't seem like herself, but neither had she after giving birth. At a glance it seemed like everyone was doing well. The kits had full bellies, and had grown even in the short time since she had seen them last. She wanted to leave the conversation open, to allow Twilightbell to take the lead on where the conversation would go.
