Kaliko's paws were stained by the grass she had been digging through earlier that day and her fur smelled sweet like honeysuckle. She lifted her bright eyes to the sky, smiling slightly at the sun that shone above. She let out a puff of air from the exhaustion that began to gather in her legs from all the walking she did that morning. Looking down at her pile, she shook her head. There were still so many things to do...
"Need some help?" A dark voice whispered just next to her ear, before it let out a breathy laugh and the feline stepped away from her, moving into her direct line of vision. Whatever or whoever she thought she'd meet face to face, undoubtedly it wasn't who now stood across from her; his head was held high, molten gold eyes gazing down upon her as if she were a new plaything he was eager to try out. His limbs were long and lanky, as if they belonged on a spider rather than a cat, and his facial features were angular. He looked completely out of place in BrookClan's serene wildlife; in truth, he was. For he was not a member of the Monarchy. He was a stranger. An outsider that had the audacity to cross into enemy terrain. Though he seemed to believe that he owned the land, and its inhabitants, despite it all.

Many would jump, but Kaliko had the feeling that someone was watching her before the shadowed figure even made his appearance. "No, I can manage on my own." She answered evenly, offering a smile that spoke a warning in return. She knew she would not be able to fight him if she tried. He was much larger than the already smaller-than-average acecoop and she could see the power rippling underneath his muscles. This tom simply spoke danger. "You do not smell of Brookclan. Why are you here?" She questioned, meeting his gaze with her own golden depths. Her eyes held no sign of hostility, but she seemed confident. Truth was, while she couldn't fight the brute, she knew the quickest ways around the territory and had full confidence that she could escape him if needed.
He chuckled lightly, sitting and curling his long, thin tail around his paws. “Well, well. For someone so chipper, that was quite the transition. Nervous?” He purred, golden eyes roving over her form. She played the part of innocent little misfit; but he could see a fire burning within her and he desired to tempt those flames to come forth and devour the flowers she loved oh so much.

Kaliko peered at him through narrowed eyes, yet she held her stance with emotional poise. There was some humor at the tip of her whiskers, but she made sure that only a little showed. "You didn't answer my question." She meowed pointedly, waving her long, plumy tail. Her accent made her sound less menacing, she knew. He was an interesting tom. It seemed that he wore a tough, powerful mask, but there was more to him, wasn't there? Yes, she was sure of that.
His eyes narrowed to slits, gold just barely visible. “Do you deserve one?” He tilted his head. “Do you believe it’s because you’ve claimed this land? Do you solely own it?” He blinked. “What will you do if you get one?”
His tail swayed behind him, slowly, side to side. Playful. “I’m here for you.”
