The sun was shining high in the sky as Cloudyday made his way out of the camp. His bright blue eyes lit up at the sound of prey and the warmth of the sun that seeped through his fur. He glanced around the territory wondering which way he should head first.

"Where are you headed?" Gentlebreeze asked as she exited the camp behind Cloudyday. The sun warmed her gray tabby fur and accented her pleasant smile. "I'm going out hunting. Today's too nice a day to waste when there's prey to be caught." She was glad she hadn't been affected by the nightmares plaguing her clanmates. But she felt she had to step up her hunting to compensate for those who could not.

"That is true." He responded, flicking his tail in greeting as she approached. "I was actually thinking about going out myself. It's been a while since I've hunted near the lake. Would you like to join?" Truthfully, he had been plagued with the nightmares for the past few days. He figured the fresh air would help revive some of his senses.

"Sure, that sounds like fun," the gray tabby replied gracefully. "I haven't been to the lake lately either." She leaned back in a stretch to limber up because the trip would take them across half their territory. "Perhaps we'll find some good prey to bring back. Water voles seem to be a popular prey to eat and I know there's lots around the lake."

“Great! Thank you for coming with me. It’s a lot more fun to hunt with company.” He responded with a small, shy smile. He began to lead the way towards the lake, letting the sights and sounds of the territory wash over them. “How has life been for you lately? I know the nightmares have been tough on everyone.”

"Fortunately I haven't been bothered by any nightmares," Gentlebreeze responded. "At least not yet, not that I want any," she quickly added. "But I've been busy by doing extra hunting and border patrols. A lot of the cats who are affected by the dreams are too tired to go out. And how about you? How are you holding up?" The was a note of genuine concern in her voice.

The grey and white tom almost paused in his tracks. She wasn't having the dreams? "Oh, are you sure you are comfortable walking with me? I've been having nightmares, but they haven't been as bad as the others. I'm not even sure if they are due to the sickness or not." He responded with a long sigh. He knew how frantic and tired Frostmouse had been before she passed away. He hoped that they wouldn't lose any more clanmates to the sickness.

"I don't mind," Gentlebreeze replied truthfully. "If I catch it, I'll catch it that's all there is to it. I've been around others who've had the dreams but like I said, I don't have it." Her voice was soft but earnest. "Come on, let's hunt. We need to help our clanmates."
