Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Pond was not a cat particularly welcome in SunClan. He was an initiate, yes, but the tom hailed from MoonClan. That alone earned him the contempt and suspicious of his new clanmates. Perhaps his only saving grace was that he had kits in the clan with none other than Twilightbell. Cats, no matter how much they hated him, wouldn't be too harsh, at least while she was in earshot.
But for right now at least, he was alone. The Promised was with their kits, leaving him to sit in camp rather awkwardly, auburn-brown fur gleaming in the newleaf sunlight.
Gem was in a similar position to Pond. She had fallen in love with a SunClan tom, and had decided to join in order for their children to be raised in SunClan. After her kits were old enough to make it on their own, she to would be attempting initiation. She had been told that even if she failed, her kits would still be fine since they had been born into SunClan.
However, she didn't have the luxuary of a higher up member of the clan to defend her. Even her mate was barely around lately, so she was on her own for the most part. The only reason the some of the clan was kinder to her was because of the little ones that she had brought with her, and the fact that she had willingly joined the clan.
Even now, she glanced around nervously as her four kits played in the center of camp.

Neither were exactly in good spots. Gem, perhaps, was in a slightly better one, being that she brought kits to SunClan, and, well, wasn't from MoonClan. Give and take, one supposed.
All the same, Pond had seen her around, and though he hadn't talked to her until this point in time, he approached her now, offering an encouraging smile that stated he was anything but like the cats of SunClan. "You're one of the other Initiates, right?" Pond questioned, his tone gentle and kind.
The she-cat smiled warmly, but kept a watchful eye on her children as they played "Yeah my name is Gem" she glanced up at him, even she knew who it was standing there. Everyone had talked about a MoonClan cat coming to SunClan, and even though she didn't really understand all of it it sounded like a bad thing according to some.
He didn't look that dangerous to her though "'I'm hoping to try initiation once my kits are old enough to be on their own" she replied making room or him to join her if he liked.
"I'm Pond." He offered in turn, sitting himself beside her to watch the kits play. His weren't old enough yet to really need to be worried about where they might go, but it was fun to imagine how they'd grow and become their own forms of trouble as they aged. "Are you confident about the trial?" That was a more loaded question. There was a lot that could go wrong, and as he understood it, the Sun God was an active part of the SunClan cats' lives. While that helped with the believing in him part, it wasn't exactly a cure for those who would be disloyal.
"I am" she nodded. "I would by lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous, but I keep telling myself that I am overthinking it. From what I have been able to gather if your heart and intentions are true you have nothing to fear. I am here for my kits, and to be with Honeysplash. I am here for love. I don't think there is anything more pure than that"
She paused to nose one of her kits off to keep playing "No one here really talks about what the trial is though, only that it is dangerous. I have been trying to pry it out of someone, but as soon as I bring it up they end the conversation. I wouldn't be worried at all, but I wouldn't want my little ones to grow up without a mother"
"I've noticed that too. I'm guessing they just don't want the risk of us skipping out and being able to spill all the clan's secrets." Pond guessed. At least, that was the closest thing he could think of at this very moment. What other reason to keep them in the dark? According to them, they couldn't cheat this anyway, so there was little harm in understanding what would happen during the actual test anyway.
" I suppose, but it is OUR lives on the line, so you would think they would at least give us a little bit more information than that." she shook her head lightly, but she suuposed that SunClan had their reasons. She couldn't help but wonder if it was a fair test if there was nothing that they could do to prepare.
