Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He hadn't expected to be a grandparent so soon. Nightshadeintuition hadn't even realized Twilightbell had been seeing a tom until the news of her pregnancy broke, until Pond came to the clan from MoonClan to be with her and his kits. The ebony tom wanted to admonish her for not thinking things through, but truly, he had little authority to do so. She ranked above him now, and they hadn't really had as much contact as he'd have liked. She'd pretty much been raised by the Janus to boot, so he was unsure whether she'd be receptive to anything he had to say.
Of course, he hoped to be part of the kittens' lives and help out as much as they needed. They were family after all, and he loved Twilightbell and her newborn kits, even if the situation surrounding their arrival wasn't ideal.
"They're quite beautiful aren't they?" Frostcloud was approaching Nightshadeintuition now. While she thought the entire situation was hilarious, she would play nice as she always did. "Even if they have MoonClan blood they are truly beautiful little ones. Have you been to see Twilightbell since their birth?" Kind blue eyes rested on the older tom. Her plumy white tail was curled over her head. She had even managed to sneak a trace of sadness into her voice since she was supposed to be mourning the loss of her sister who was assumed to have been killed by the Regime.
The tom didn't know Frostcloud well. However, what he did know was that something about the feline rang incredibly hollow in him, set him on edge despite words that were for all the world appropriate for her situation. "That the Sun God has allowed them to be born healthy is a wondrous blessing." The ebony warrior answered easily, giving the younger she-cat a slight nod. "I have visited them indeed. Twilightbell seems to be doing well, and Pond, well, he's trying at least." Pond had been born in MoonClan, grown up in the clan, though in reality, he held no blood of the clan. His mother was formerly of Absum Lux, and his father nonexistent. Though his mother remained in their opposing clan, Nightshadeintution hoped that the lack of other blood in the clan would help him to let go of his past and accept his future here, for the children he now had.
"It is a blessing indeed. SunClan needs new life in these troubling times although I have my doubts about taking in a MoonClan cat. I'm sure he means well, but can one born under the moon truly turn to the sun? It's an interesting concept I suppose and it is admirable of him to try for the sake of his family, but I do hope nothing bad happens." Her icy blue eyes travelled towards the nursery. "Twilightbell should be careful with her little ones though. I've heard that Hawks have been spotted in the area recently..."
"If he is not worthy, the Sun God will know, and he will fail his initiation. If anything, he will be far more harsh a judge on the tom." Nightshadeintution pointed out. "As for the hawks, I'll make sure the let her know, just in case she doesn't already." The gorge was deep, and he doubted that hawks would dive so low to try and attack them. Even so, he wanted to warn her. It wasn't like she'd or even he, would be able to see the danger coming.
"True, but I do wonder...Can a former MoonClan cat ever truly be loyal to the Sun God? He deserves his chance like everyone else of course but I do worry. I know what it feels like to lose someone close to you..." She glanced towards the nursery where she could see one of Twilighbell's kits dash out of the nursery only to be drug back inside a moment later by Twilightbell. "They are adorable though. If they are anything like Twilightbell herself, she may actually have her hands full."

"That's not up to us to decide. Twilightbell understands that." It didn't make things easier if they went well and he was found to be disloyal, but hopefully she would believe that the Sun God truly knew his heart, and wouldn't steer her wrong. Of course, the kits had already lost their mother, and Nightshadeintuition still knew how powerless he felt, even all these seasons later. "Oh, and I don't doubt she will. They seem as energetic, if not more so. If that's even possible." He laughed lightly at that. She truly would have her paws full.
