Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The small bundle of silver kit fluff sat right in the entrance to the camp, head tipped back, blue eyes wide and sparkling innocent. She heard this was where the warriors came back from, and she wanted to see! Maybe they'd have prey! Juniperkit couldn't eat prey, she was too young, but she could look at it!
Timberfrost was returning to camp after a mildly successful hunting trip, carrying two small mice dangling by their tails from his mouth. Coming through the entrance, the small silver and white tabby tom almost tripped headlong over the small kit sprawled across the entrance to camp.
"Moose! Moose!" Juniperkit yapped in excitement at the sight of the mouse in his jaws. She opened and closed her mouth a few times as if imagining the taste. Despite having nearly been tripped over and crushed, the tiny tabby looked completely unaffected.
Timberfrost couldn't help but smile at his much younger sister's reaction to the prey. "Here you can have this one." he said, setting down the smallest of the pair he was carrying near to Juniperkit before stepping over his sister and depositing the second on the fresh-kill pile.
"Thank! Thank!" Juniperkit took the prey in reverence and held it for a moment before her paws, laying it on its back upon the ground and staring at it. She couldn't eat the thing, but it did look tasty! It was so big though, like her! Like a little sister! She giggled and looked up at Timberfrost. "Sister," she announced. "Sister Moose."
"If you aren't going to eat it then someone else in the clan can." he said. He didn't make a move to take the piece of prey but wasn't really sure what to do.
She frowned. "But.. Moose sister instead? Moose sister, Moose stay with me?" she suggested hopefully. She didn't want to let her new friend go now that she found her!
"The mouse is not your sister. It can't stay with you as a friend." Timberfrost tried to explain to the kit patiently. "You can make friends with other kits though."
Timberfrost stifled a laugh at Juniperkit's statement that other kits were stinky and then asked if he himself was stinky. "I doubt I'm stinky," he said with another laugh.
She nodded, content with his answer. She rose and wandered over to place both her forepaws on one of his, then tipped her head back to peer at him closer with wide kit blue eyes. "Do you want Moose friend?"
Timberfrost almost stepped back, a little startled when Juniperkit decided to stand on his paw but stopped himself from doing so because he knew it would throw the young kit off balance and possibly cause her to follow over. "No thanks. I'm not hungry right now."
