Ironpaw placed another branch across the Nursery, hoping that it would be sturdy enough to block the wind. Her eyes narrowed as she carefully wove it's twigs through the twigs of another. The earthquake had shaken more than just their camp, and she almost felt like she was rebuilding her soul with every branch. Ever since the Gathering, the stocky she-cat had felt on edge. There was something achingly familiar about the Summerclan deputy, other than the fact that she had the same deformed jaw... Ironpaw shook her head, trying not to dwell on it anymore.
Burningstar had been out hunting, cats were still anxious and admittedly she too felt on edge lately, and was worn down from the constant effort put in to keep NightClan going. She made her way along the rocks that lined the waterfall's basin before slipping behind the waterfall into the cavern NightClan had dubbed their temporary home. She noted with surprise Ironpaw weaving branches across the nursery, already the shell of a den being built in the space.
"I see you're busy," Burningstar noted padding over to her adopted daughter. "did the queens need extra shelter? I know Stealthclaw's litter can be rambunctious." Her whiskers twitched as she mused over the driven little kittens that were coyoteway's kin. All of them extremely motivated to pursue success, their father had quite high expectations of them.
