Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Some days were busy. Some days were fast. Some were simply days.
Today was a day she needed to breathe. The duties of a clan leader often kept her mind busy and off things she quite often wished to forget. Or, thought she did. All the same, forgetting sounded like worse than living it.
Violetstar had slipped from camp with special intrusions that her deputy Chimerahunt was in charge. She needed a break, and found herself going near other clan borders. Not to trespass, but rather to be as far from camp as she could get. The leader had finally found herself settled next to a small puddle, the water having pooled due to the rains the day before. Her limbs were tucked under her chest, her purple eyes gazing into the waters. Only a season ago was she nothing but skin and bones. Finally, gaining her weight back.
Her eyes slowly closed, her shoulders relaxing, and she began dozing in and out.
[ very little motivation tbh. but wanted to reply. ]
Cicero wandered the borders with little steps and humming a jaunty tune. The tom was looking for a waterclan cat, and as it often was when Cicero was searching for someone, it was not with good intentions. As he grew closer to Violetstar's position his smile slowly grew as he caught the fresh scent of Winterclan and knew a cat was nearby. When he saw her dozing he made the decision to watch her instead of waking her.
Thinking already of the lines he could deliver when she woke up and noticed him. Hopefully it wouldn't take long, but Cicero felt his stare would wake her up. Or her instincts, as warriors were not so unaware to not be awoke by intruding scents.
Her dream had fashioned into a nice cool swim. Splashing, laughing, adoring... in her dream, Sandtail was there. It was as if she were never leader. True happiness shone and radiated from the she-cat. Though, it didn’t last long. Her head lifted, looking around a scent began to engulf her.
Violetstar’s dream faded. Her eyes opened, and she locked eyes immediately with Cicero. She didn’t flinch, in fact, didn’t move otherwise. “State your business.” Her words came out firm, but not overly loud either. What was this cat doing?
"I was simply observing the beauty of nature." He purred with a chipper grin in her direction, tilting his head as he took her in. Watching how she observed him, keen eyes watching her; one could learn a lot about another cat by how they moved. "You sound like you're in charge? Are you in-charge?" He wondered aloud as he leaned forward, as if trying to look inside her and find the answers.
Violetstar felt her muscles tense. Many questions floated through her mind as the tom spoke to her. He seems rather confident... Just his voice showed that much. The tortoiseshell she-cat slowly pushed herself to her paws, dirt clinging to the furs on her belly. “I am. You’re on my territory.” Short and to the point, no reason to beat around the bush, honestly.
