Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
A hum reverberated in the dark forest tom's chest. The former specialist's apprentice felt his body flicker for a second as he appeared near the Earthclan camp. This was the clan he should have grown up in. Instead, he died as a kitten and grew up in Dark Forest instead. Before ranks were abolished, he was on set to be the specialist. Perhaps, he could have been the medicine cat of Earthclan instead had he survived. Still, the hatred in his heart probably would have made that go downhill. After a moment getting his bearings, Strikelight padded toward the Earthclan camp. His eyes shimmered as he scanned the sleeping cats, a dark grin on his face.
Almondpaw yawned quietly as she padded into camp, having fallen asleep in the training hollow and not waking up until it was too late. She was, frankly, a little bit annoyed that nobody had come looking for her, though she supposed it was the third or fourth time that it had happened this week, and her fellow apprentices were probably getting tired of it. She blinked wearily, feeling even more confused by the second as she noticed the stranger scanning her sleeping Clanmates; she didn't know why exactly, but the very sight of him made her fur stand on end, and struck dread deep into her heart.
"What the..." she muttered, realising too late that she probably should have just run away.
Within moments, Strikelight reappeared next to her, his ghostly pelt coming back into view. Slowly tilting his head, a grin still plastered across his face, the tom slowly circled like a hawk preparing to attack it's prey. "Hello." His voice was sickly sweet.
Almondpaw's eyes widened as she caught sight of the stranger's fur; it was pale, far paler than any living feline's pelt had any right to be, and if she stared hard enough, Almondpaw thought she might be able to stare right through it. She'd heard stories from her friends and the elders about how ghosts would often roam the territory at this time of year, but she'd always regarded them as nothing more than fairytales. Could it be that some of those stories had been true after all?
"Y-you're not from EarthClan..." she murmured, instinctively cowering. "You're an i-intruder..."
He gave a thoughtfully hum. "Mmm. Technically, I am from Earthclan." His pace was a meander around the apprentice, laidback and lazy. Even if she were to attack him, it would be futile since he was already dead. Strikelight's ears were perked in case some other cat were awakening or arriving at camp. It felt so good to be on earth, and he noted how much more beautiful it was compared to the dark forest.
