Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"We are close. My sister left to join Primal Instinct though, she was my best friend and I miss her dearly." Pinesong said, slightly dejectedly before cheering up and continuing on. "I'm still close with my parents though and I have new siblings who were just recently born! I can't wait until they're grown up and I can hunt and patrol with them!" she added. "Family has always been something that my parents and my uncles, aunts, and cousins have always stressed. It's always been important. I want my own family someday too. What about you?"
"Maybe I'll get one of them as an apprentice or they even be selected for the Lunar Guard." Grandsky settled down, closer to her side than was probably proper, but the night was coming in and it was slightly chilly now so it could be excused, right? "My father and I are close, and I have out lived all my siblings and my mother. But I've been raised to value family just as it seems you have too. It's important, even more important to keep those close that you can." He knew what it was like to be separated from those he loves. From losing his siblings to leaving his father behind at Devilhorns request. He wasn't upset about his mother though, SHe'd been awful, had nearly killed him and his siblings when they were first born. So he cared not for how or when she died.
"That's very likely, considering there's six of them!" Pinesong purred in response. She truly hoped that one of them would be selected for lunar guard one day and that they'd all be successful warriors. "And I'm sorry about your siblings, that must have been hard to lose them." She added in a more serious tone, knowing they'd all likely passed due to injury or sickness or an accident. She couldn't imagine even losing one of her littermates or siblings, let alone all of them. She'd feel completely alone. "Did your father remain in NightClan?" she asked.
Littlesea had fallen at their mother's claws and Mightyearth a few moons later from infected wounds from those same claws. Grandsky gave a sad smile at the memory of the two, but he chose to look to the future, one that involved living happily with his father. "For a time, He's here now." It was a welcomed affair, having Devilhorns with him again. Even if the tom needed to join the elders already and was too stubborn to do so.
"That's good. I never understood why Flamingsoul left MoonClan. I still don't, like our family is here, all of our family is here. I'm not sure what she see's in Primal Instinct." Pinesong said. She still couldn't make sense of why her sister had left and whenever she thought about it, it still hurt.
"Maye it's too much? Your family is deep part of MoonClan. It could have just been too overwhelming. Sometimes cars need space and distal to better value what they have." Grandsky had experienced that first hand. When it first happened, he'd been furious with Devilhorns. For allowing Angelwings to mentor him, to kill his siblings, for even being the deciding factor of him leaving his home clan. But now he was glad he left. He'd found himself a home and a place within MoonClan and was happy here. It only helped that Devilhorns had joined him only a few moons ago as well.
"Maybe. I am also probably being selfish. I had just imagined always having Flamingsoul around to hunt with and talk with and now she's just not here. I'm happy she's happy even though I'm not happy with that decision." Pinesong said thoughtfully.
“I was the same with my siblings. For many moons I was in disbelief that they were gone. I was angry but I’ve moved on and accepted it. There was nothing at the time that I could do.” Grandsky could remember watching Littlesea be stuck down before his eyes, only for Mightyearth to shoved him out of range of their mother’s claws. His little siblings, gone before his eyes while he could do nothing to help them. Devilhorns has sent him on his way, running or whatever clan would take him a Nd keep him safe while he battled Angelwings. It was a dark day for both toms.
(Did we still wanna do a thread with Leopardblaze and Devilhorns meeting? I think we talked about that earlier on... I can make the thread if you'd like?)
Pinesong looked sympathetically at Grandsky. "I'm lucky in the sense that I can still see Flamingsoul. Maybe not in the way that I'd hoped, but at least I know she's alive and happy." she said quietly, realizing that she had been selfish in her desire to keep her sister close to her.
(Sure! That would be great. You good if we end this one and continue in the new one?)
“Just cherish what you have while you do.” It was a lesson he’d learned the hard way. Grandsky rose from his seat, “wanna head back? Kind of looks like a storms brewing up and I’d rather not get caught in it.”
