Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Amberkit was a stuttering, clumsy, crybaby. One of the four that Seablossom was currently raising, and probably the most demanding, was constantly found crying about one thing or another. Just like now. His sister wasn't in the den, and he was scared. Scared of being alone, but also not wanting to be a burden. The sound of his tears filled the air, drawing the attention of cats across the camp, but most ignored him for it was a constant in their lives now. Usually Seablossom came running at the first sound of his cries. But she was no where to be found as she'd left camp for the first time in forever, and with that new tom she'd brought home too.
Solsticestar peaked her head in, tilting it slightly. “What’s wrong, little one?” She pushed her way into the den, crouching in from of the whining kit.
He couldn't even form words with the strength of the sobs raking his small body. Each breathe was an upheave, a struggle to pull in air as he continued to sob out more and more tears. Amberkit couldn't stop now, he was scared around an unfamiliar cat, and no one liked him. He was a burden and he knew it, even as a kit so small that he couldn't even make it out of the nest by himself least he trip and fall. Seablossom usually helped him down, but she wasn't here! She usually kept the other kist from laughing but she wasn't here! She was gone with that new cat of all things. The one that had stolen her from him when he needed her. She was his mothe--no he wasn't supposed to say that. She told him that. His mother was a cat from another clan, his father wasn't around. Aberkit just sobbed hard at the thought; he didn't have a mother or a father and Seablossom wasn't here and Ivorycrown hated him and the other kits hated him and..and.....
“You’re the leader.” He spoke between sobs, trying to stop his tears in vain. Seablossom told him all about those in the clan but he hadn’t ventured further than the nursery entrance and that was even rare. Amberkit wiped his eyes with his paw, but the tears kept flowing and making him hiccup with each sob.
“O..*sniff* okay.” Amberkit wiped his tears some more, for even he knew you shouldn’t be a sniffling mess in front of the leader of the clan. “What.. what do you wanna talk about?” He wouldnt met her eyes, a little embarrassed that it was her who found him crying. He was always crying a bout something.
His favorite dream? Amberkit couldn't think of a great one like the others would surely have. His were all simple. Days with his family, everyone being happy, nothing going wrong, not having to ever leave the den. "I...I guess when I thought I was a bird?" Was that good enough?
“Yeah.... but I don’t like heights.” How he was suppose to know that was anyone’s guess considering he barely left the nursery as it was. The heightest he’d ever been was when Seablossom carried him and he tended to keep his eyes closed when that happened, couldn’t see the ground then.
“But we climb trees. And trees are really, really high.” Wasn’t this common knowledge? Shouldn’t the leader know that? Amberkit ahd heard stories of them climbing trees. Some of the apprentices talked about it all the time. He didn’t wnat to climb any trees. They were too tall for him.
