Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Arcady nervously moved towards the apprentice den, not quite sure he was ready for training a young cat yet but deciding that he would simply have to do his best. Trying to put a positive spin on it and reminding himself that there was a perspective he brought that a clancat who was raised within Nightclan wouldn't have. This would perhaps help him teach Viscariapaw better, or it could make him lacking in his techniques with training her. Overlooking simple things that the clan cats born within Nightclan would know to train her.
Viscariapaw huffed. He knew NightClan had a lot of apprentices now, but he wasn't thrilled about Arcady. Especially since his new partner Spiderpaw had since made it clear he viewed Viscariapaw with some disdain despite Shiverstar having raised him as her own with her own children.
He wondered if Burningstar picking Arcady to pick up his training was a sign the leader thought the same. Perhaps she believed his laziness would drag Arcady down as well. Or maybe she didn't believe it. Burningstar had after all been one of the ones to care for him and his siblings as well along with Shiverstar. But perhaps those looking in, those who had the leader's ear had encouraged this training pair up. Hoping to see Arcady fail on Viscariapaw, who was still an apprentice despite his sister Aconiteleap having become a warrior.
Well he'd show them!
He marched up to Arcady. "I'm ready, I've been an apprentice a while now, so we can skip all the border patrols and the like, I'm familiar with the territory." He said. Even though the earthquake had rocked the whole land and likely changed the territory, but Viscariapaw didn't want to waste precious training time on that.
Arcady blinked at the apprentice, quickly rearranging any assumptions he had to take in this new view. He hadn't really had a chance to note the apprentices age before but now he could see he was dealing with a young cat that wasn't so young. Old enough to know what they wanted and basically form their own world view; not a cat that would need Arcady to help them learn about the world surrounding them.
"Alright then, how about hunting? How would you rate your skills there?" The one eyed tom asked as he examined the apprentice, his long tabby fur making it hard to tell if he was lean or muscular. If he would be better suited for hunting or fighting, not that Arcady wouldn't try to make him excel at both.
"I'm a pretty good hunter if I do say so myself," Viscariapaw said proudly puffing up his chest. "When Amberlake was my partner she and I competed a lot, and while I couldn't beat her at battle training, cause she was older than me at the time and bigger." He added quickly so Arcady didn't think he was a wimp. "I worked hard to be an awesome hunter."
