A strange sense of loneliness had washed over her since Foxstar had been captured by the regime. The den that she shared with the High Priestess seemed empty and hollow, especially now that her two kits had also been moved into the apprentice's den. Skipstep always stayed at the Janus camp, and her sister in law had been busy helping her keep control of the clan.
It had been a devestating defeat, for a clan only used to success. The had been forced out of the tunnels and driven back onto their lands, their leader captured and many injured. So far she had managed to keep order in their frightened clan, but something needed to be done about the current situation. SunClan could not allow their leader to remain captured.

Yes, something would need to be done. Was it wrong of Darkcomplex to think she deserved her fate, however? Regardless, the tom said nothing. Already, he was a prime suspect as having sold them out, purely because of the kits that resided there, and he didn't need more eyes on him for feeling as though justice had been served. All the same, he didn't expect to be able to get out of this. Maybe he wasn't Foxstar, but the cats of SunClan as a whole were searching for ways to free her, and sooner or later, one would ask his opinion, or attempt to have him use his kits for SunClan's gain.
Even as he looked up at the Priestess' den, the found a strange sadness lingering in his heart. Not for his kits, though that was there, and more so for his lost faith in the clan. He had joined SunClan and trusted the Sun God, even though the death of his littermates. But now, he wasn't so sure of his place in the clan, and for the first time, the former initiate really questioned his loyalty to his home.
"Of course" she replied to the young apprentice, a little reassuring smile appearing on her face. "Just a lot on my mind" her gaze roamed to where Darkcomplex had isolated himself.
Many within the clan suspected that he had been responsible for revealing SunClan's plans to the regime. It would make sense, not wanting his children to be caught off guard in a surprise attack. She understood more than most if he had... She knew the lengths that she would go to protect her own little ones. The situation he was in being one of her biggest fears...
She slowly stood making her way over to him, for as much as she understood she had a duty as the Priestess Promised to bring Foxstar home. She needed to find out what Darkcomplex knew, and what step to take next now that their own territory as secure.
