Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Burningstar and Larkwing have decided the Waterfall area will be where a temporary camp is set up. Burningstar has tasked Soaringbird, Fiercepaw, Bloodpaw, and Echopaw with setting up a temporary home in the cave just behind the screen of falling water. Jetclaw , Spot , racer , uniqcrim )
Soaringbird pulled a face as she came to a stop by the waterfall. She set down the ball of moss she'd gathered earlier. "Well," The black hand member said with a heavy sigh as she considered the thundering sound of the waterfall. "It's definitely not going to be the most quiet places to call home. But it'll do." She glanced back towards the apprentices who were essentially there to help her set up nests and the like. All to better soothe their clanmates that they would be moving into a semi-orderly fashion into their temporary home. "How are you all holding up? Got your moss? Ready to help me make this place our home away from home?" She forced herself to sound as upbeat as she could manage. Though in reality she was just, tired. The stress of the earthquake, the nervousness that had her on occasion plant a paw to the ground to try and reassure herself that no it was not shaking.
The large red tom sat down the moss and sticks that he had carried to help create the nests for his clan-mates to use. It was important, because the cool stone here would not be very comfortable on their own.
He felt on edge, the rushing water reminding him to much of the earthquake. He had to force himself to focus on the task at hand, but he didn't think he would ever be able to relax here. He dipped his head respectuflly to Soaringbird, although he did not speak. He glanced around the area nervously as he began to form his first nest.
Echopaw set down her bundle of moss and let out a sigh as she eyed their new temporary home. "I guess" she replied to Soaringbird with a frown. She was usually pretty optimistic, however, all the stress and loss had made her give up most hope. Especially when she felt like she was the reason a cat had died that day which still weighed heavily on her mind. She made her way behind the waterfall and began setting nests around the cave.
Bloodpaw flinched as Echopaw sat down her supplies, forcing his fur to remain flat. Echopaw had been through a lot, and it seemed so odd to see her so upset and sad. She didn't look or act like herself, but he supposed a lot of cats were not acting like themselves.
As he finished his first nest he glanced up at Echopaw "at least we will have somewhere to go for a while"
She was still working on her first nest when Bloodpaw spoke. "Yeah." she mewed simply, not looking up from her work. "We should still have our camp. We should still have all of our clanmates." She looked at Bloodpaw, her eyes meeting his, referring to Thistlebriar. Bloodpaw had been her first friend in the clan and she was grateful to still have him here. "But I'm glad I still have you." She touched her paw to his shoulder before turning back to her work.
Soaringbird nodded as Bloodpaw and Echopaw went to work, the silver tabby glancing to Fiercepaw who seemed preoccupied at the moment, but she shrugged it off. They were only setting up this area for the clan, it wasn't exactly difficult work, or work that needed to be done expediently. The move was tomorrow after all.
She nodded. "I'll go deeper into the cavern, set up the leader's area, and the nursery, you three work on the apprentices den area, and the warriors." She instructed as she slipped deeper into the cavern to begin setting up her sister's bedding.
