Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Lyra-tyke sat in silence at the edge of Post Kilo, absorbed in thought. She had recently heard the story of the Blind Protector for the first time, and had been mulling it over ever since. Not enough people respected their spiritual guide, she had decided, and she would spend her life living as he would want her to. Maybe it was a radical decision for a tyke, but she was committed to living the upright way.

"Are you alright, Lyra-tyke?" A voice asked from behind the young she-cat. Liam-tyke padded up to sit next to his sister, tilting his head curiously at her silence. He had also chosen to follow the Blind Protector, yet a part of him was bitter at the deceased cat that watched over them. Why did he place this sickness on him and a few of his siblings? The question echoed in the back of his mind as he waited for her response.
"Oh, yes." Lyra-tyke nodded, coming back to reality with a faint smile at her brother. "I was simply thinking, that's all." Her voice lacked the energy of many other tykes', simply plain and practical in tone. "I was remembering what the Raisers and mother told us about the Blind Protector."
Lyra-tyke turned to her sister, surprised. "Weren't you listening when mom was talking? The Blind Protector is our forefather, and now he guides us from his spirit realm."
"She was probably sleeping." Lotta-tyke shook her head. "I was listening to everything mom said though." She seemed proud of herself, but then again she often felt like she had a lot to prove because of her small size.

Liam-tyke smiled over at Lotta-tyke and gave Lydia-tyke a little prod with one paw. "He's the most important cat ever." He told her. Maybe they would get to meet him someday? That would be interesting. He already knew what he would ask the old cat.
"He is the most important cat. He's our guide and our protector. I've already decided to become a Guider, so maybe I could become Chaman and speak with him someday." Lyra-tyke said, blinking her large golden eyes.
"You know, daddy used to be a commander. I bet he's actually seen the blind protector before!" Despite the fact that Lotta-tyke looked exactly like Limavady, Fjord was the only father she knew. He was the one that her mother had told her was their father and he was the one she saw the most. "We should ask him! I bet mom would take us to see him if we ask and we can get him to tell us all about it!"
Lyra-tyke considered the proposition with an expression that looked too serious on a kit as young as herself, before assenting. "That sounds like a good idea to me. Let's go find mom." The small snowy she-kit rose, stretching briefly.
Lotta-tyked looked around. Their mother usually wasn't far off from them. At least she had caught her the other day when she had tried to leave Post Kilo on her own. She hadn't gotten very far since her short legs prevented her from running very fast. It was annoying and the other tykes often teased her for her short stature, but she wasn't worried about that at the moment. She was more curious about what their father could tell them about the blind protector.
