Two black figures slunk through the growing darkness as the sky began to blacken. Their eyes were the only visible feature on their inky silhouettes. One pair was bright yellow like the full moon while the other pair was steely blue like ice. Their paws hardly made a sound as they weaved through the undergrowth. Vok and Ver often found themselves awake at the hours many chose to sleep. They would rather creep eerily in the silence of night than be present in broad daylight. It was just the way they were.
