The once-powerful elder stepped outside of his den and stuck his front paws out to stretch. Mid-stretch a giant rumble sounded from deep in his belly and he quickly straightened up. Giving his chest a couple of embarrassed licks, Endlessthunder padded towards the fresh-kill pile. It still felt wrong that he wasn't expected to hunt for the clan anymore. Every bone in his body ached to venture out into the territory and chase rabbits once more, but he knew that his speed wasn't quite what it used to be. The stormy grey tom let out a sigh and picked a rabbit from the pile. His eyes floated around the camp, searching for someone to share it with. Being the only elder got lonely and he couldn't see Destiny as much as he liked, so he figured company would do him some good.

Crimsonpaw had been out hunting, his first solo excursion, and he was proud of his catch. Dangling by their tails were three plump mice hanging from his mouth. He made his way over to the fresh kill pile where he saw Endlessthunder standing and nodded his head in greeting to the elder. The movement caused the mice to swing so hard they bumped into his chest. After placing them on the pile, he asked, "Who are you looking for? Maybe I've seen them around."

Endlessthunder gave the apprentice a smile and shrugged. "I was hoping someone would join me for lunch." He admitted. "Sometimes it gets lonely being an elder." His whiskers twitched with amusement at the notion before he settled down to eat. "So. It looks like you had a good day hunting. Have you learned a lot?"

Crimsonpaw smiled at the kind words from Endlessthunder. "Thanks," he purred. "I feel I've learned a lot but I'm sure there's lots more to learn as well." He looked at the pile and then back at the elder. "I've hunted today so now I'm allowed to eat. I'll keep you company for lunch if you like."
