Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
For all plot info please look here. this is the beginning of phase three. The Bloodliners take the first of Solaris' eight lives in an assassination, and Solaris begins the hunt for the two Bloodliner leaders. Arden is demoted from his position as Assassin for his role in the assassination, and Batair takes his place under the oath of backing Solaris.
phase three DO: Have your Bloodliners witness/support/take part in the event DO: Have your cats react to the assassination in whatever way is appropriate DO: Accuse other cats of having differing loyalties
DON'T: Have any outright Rebel action DON'T: Interfere with the assassination

------
The night hung heavy over the camp, the last sliver of the waning crescent moon having disappeared the night before. Solaris E'tan was exhausted, and fatigue sent a deep ache through his bones as he laid in his temporary den. It had been weeks since his come to power, and he wanted desperately for the turmoil in camp to end. The energy ran high and was at the boiling point, and it would only be so long until something exploded. The ginger tom had done his best to smooth it over, but Senescence had spoken rightly when she called him naive for this.
But the new Nemesis wasn't a pushover. He would do everything necessary to solidify his regime. Currently, though, he laid his head on his paws, fighting to keep his eyes open and failing. He drifted in the grayness between waking and sleeping, unaware that the darkness was coming to him.
(PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND UNTIL THE ASSASSINATION IS OVER.)
Levi ran his tongue over his shuddering back leg from one of its regular seizes. He needed to be ready tonight, as he and Byron had noted how ragged Solaris was running. Tonight was the best time to strike, as Solaris would be at his weakest. He continued to run his tongue over it taking in the deep cuts into it from the bite that had mutilated him in the first place. This was his revenge. Whether he succeeded or not. It would be his vengeance either on the league, by killing Solaris and upsetting the thin order that ruled the league, or on Arden the one who was the root cause of his suffering. If they failed tonight not only would Levi's suffering be likely to end, there was the chance he could drag Arden with him.
Levi gritted his teeth as he pushed himself up, planting his bad leg for a moment, waiting a moment for the shaking to stop before he straightened up, before slipping out of his resting place acting casually as possible. Each spike of pain from his back leg driving him forwards. This was going to be his moment.
He glanced around seeing that the league had fallen quiet in the heart of the night, and he grinned darkly. He glanced around for Byron as he kept to the shadows slowly making his way towards where his quarry lay.

From her careful examination of the league over the past moon Aconite could feel the tension building still. Her job as Warden was clear. Solaris needed to be protected, and the league maintained. She had done her best to keep her distance form Solaris. No tom wanted a she-cat following them day after day. Instead she went about her duties and returned every few moments to make sure all hades hadn't broken out since she took two steps away.
Settling down several paces away from the Nemesis den she watched her superior disappear into his person space. She would dose maybe for a few moments at a time then wake again and narrow her eyes at the activity still mingling in the night.
It was in this moment that she had woken and her icy blues scanning the camp with slow sharp precision.
Levi noted Aconite keeping a watchful eye, so he kept still for a moment and when her gaze shifted away from him to look elsewhere he slunk closer tucking himself partially behind cover so he was out of her view, creeping silently as he maneuvered around rock and shrubbery advancing towards the sleeping Warden's den. Once he saw Aconite's head return to her paws, he'd strike.

Aconite didn't think a cat foolish enough to try anything in camp, though she wouldn't be so easy to disregard the notion. After scanning the camp she gently laid her chin on her paws. Her peripherals suspiciously keeping tabs on Levi.
