Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Jezebelle couldn't hide it anymore. Her stomach was growing bigger everyday and the Heda was a little nervous about becoming a mother again. Since she'd done such a fantastic job the first time. With a pang, she wondered if her father would join her group like he had the first time. She didn't really care about who the father was. Unlike with her first litter, the father of these kits held no place in her heart.
Rose hasn’t taken a chance to communicate with the Heda since the group meeting. The General walked away from the area where the Tyros’ slept. The ever quiet and not confident General looking slightly lost and confused. Felt a pull toward’s where the Heda slept.
Jezi turned her head towards Rose, mildly curious why she'd decided that the shecat would make a good General. Was it because she missed her step-mother/reborn birth-mother and was feeling nostalgic? Shrugging her thoughts off she gave the General a small smile. "Good morning, Rose."
“Good morning Heda Jezebelle.” The General dipped her head in a respectful greeting. As she lifted her head she noticed something for the first time. The other she-cat’s stomach had grown larger. The General blinked rapidly in confusion.
“Are you expecting?” The question blurting out of her mouth.
Jezi tilted her head in amusement. "Yes." Rose didn't strike her as the blunt type. "And you don't have to be so formal. Calling me Jezi will be just fine." since they were going to be working closely together. Formalities were such a drag.
Pluto had spotted movement near the Heda's den. Curious as to what could be going on, he snuck towards the den. The tom fooled no one with his stalking skills, most days he was worse than a newly appointed suckling. Peering into the entrance of the den, he found their new Heda and new General both. But which was pregnant? He'd heard the words, but he hadn't been pay attention to who was talking. Leaning a little further, the tom nearly fell over as he scanned both the she-cat before him for signs of pregnancy.
"Eavesdrop? Never my dear Heda." The tom walked in with his head held high, as though he wasn't doing just as she'd said he was, and sarcasm dripping from his lips. They were to close fo h im to be offended by her words or for her to be by his. Pluto was an awkward tom, and was bad at basically anything but being a Sage. Ask him to spy? He got caught. Ask him to hunt? He went hungry. Ask him to defend himself? He rolled over and told you where to strike. Really he should work on the spying part. Any good Absum Lux cat could do it. All he had down pat as the I will devour your soul stare that came naturally to him which may or may not be because he looks half dead already as though he was straight from the underworld.
"My dear, I lie just fine. But if your offering lessons who am I to deny the Heda." A mischievous and joking grin burst upon his lips, the tom could never foul Jezi. Something that was both a blessing and a curse. Pluto took in the sight of her, then of their general. A serious look seeped onto his face; starting with his eyes turning them fierce with calculation, then the rest of his body went stiff, searching for an answer to this mysterious nightly visit. "But, truly, is there something I should have been overhearing just now?"
Jezi's grin widened at Pluto's words. "Lying well isn't something that can be taught." she purred. She shook her head when his face turned serious. "Rose here just asked if I was pregnant. Which I am." She added the confirming words after a short pause.
"Congratulations?" That's what you said for these things right? Pluto cocked his head to the side, a little lost on what to do or how to react to something like this. She seemed happy, but wait, Jez didn't have a mate, right? Did the tom know? How did it happen? Curiosity and questions began to form in his mind, drowning him out to the world around him.
Jezi tilted her head, wondering what Pluto was thinking. Deciding to just answer some common questions that one might ask, she mewed, "Yes, the father knows. Yes, I don't have a mate. And, the father's Messenger."
"Oh." Messengeer? Did he know that tom? Should he? Pluto really shoudl leave his den more often. For all he knew this cat was apart of Absum Lux and he was know the wiser. Yup, leaving the den more often would be need to be a must.
"I've been well. What about yourself? Besides being pregnant." Pluto grinned, just imagining Jezi reigning in kits of her own. He could just see her having them line up and salute , being proper soldiers of Asbsum Lux.
"Of course my dear. I expected nothing else." Pluto nodded his head as though he was listening to a beat only he could hear. An odd cat indeed. The High Sage scooted a little closer. "So, should I expect a kit named after me? I was thinking Hades or Death. No! Pluto Jr."
