Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(In the aftermath of the Earthquake, Squirrelleap comes upon a mother killed by a fallen tree surrounded by her hungry lost kits. They're old enough to live without her but are terrified and scared out of their wits from losing their mother, and the trauma of the earthquake. These kits will be adopted by Squirrelleap and since my cat Squirrelleap is loosely based off of Dean Winchester they'll have a vague supernatural theme to them XP. For the ones marked 'either' you can make them a she-cat or a tom.)
Moosekit (tracks) - tom named after Squirrelleap’s deceased brother Moosepaw. Curious, inquisitive, loyal to his family. (Loosely based off of Sam Winchester) taken by Stark Raving Mad
Arcadiakit (light) - tom - starts off very stiff and follows the rules. Eventually lightens up. He had issues reconnecting to his siblings after his mother’s death, and accepting Squirrelleap as his father. taken by Sinful
Ghostkit (hunter) - either - Ghostkit keeps very quiet, often drifting around like a ghost. But Ghostkit has a level of awareness about themself. Where Ghostkit’s siblings sought to wall up after their grief, Ghostkit embraced the emotions they felt, and reflected on them. It hurt a great deal. But as a result Ghostkit worked through their emotions. Overall Ghosthunter is very reflective and calm. There are no emotional ghosts that’ll come to haunt them. taken by simplylight
Luminouskit (specter) - either - Very clingy. After the death of their mother, hates to be alone and is very nervous when they are left alone. But this nervous attention to all the details can be useful when directed to a task. They are very thorough as they fixate on this one task. Taken by Racer
Umbrakit (hound) - tom - stubborn, spirited and willful. Has latched onto Squirrelleap immediately and has elevated him to a high status in his mind. Umbrakit wants to impress his new father, and since he recognizes his father for being strong, and a skilled warrior. Umbrakit strives to do the same. While not the brains of the bunch, Umbrahound has plenty of brawn. Taken by Spottedleaffan21
Dreamkit (spinner) - she-cat - dreamy, lost in fantasy’s conjured up to help cope with the loss of her mother. Has accepted Squirrelleap as her new father but grieves deeply for her mother and struggles to handle clan life. Being surrounded by cats who are not her siblings who claim to be her family. It’s much easier to just hide away in the world conjured up in her mind. Taken by Jetclaw
Redkit (water) - tom - Like some of his siblings the death of his mother hurt him deeply. He’s now become a great deal colder, and with Squirrelleap’s inexperience as a father figure (and having to split between many kits, ((favoring Moosekit a great deal))) Redkit grows to dislike Squirrelleap and becomes disinterested in his siblings. He closes himself off to them to both protect himself from the hurt he felt when he lost his mother, and because he thinks that love was what made the loss of his mother so much worse. ///---///
Squirrelleap was picking his way through the territory. The shaking of the earth had finally worn off it seemed, and now the time for NightClan to figure out where they'd go from here was upon them. Many cats were still frightened, too frightened to brave the forest at the moment, for fear of the shaking returning and bringing the trees or other parts of the landscape down on them. Squirrelleap was one of the few who had volunteered to hunt and try and get a feel for the state the territory was in.
He had just spotted a mouse, his ears pricking forwards and his eyes lighting up, he dropped into a crouch and began to stalk towards it. When he heard crying. Ears swiveling in the direction of the crying. Sounding like mewling kittens. He hesitated for a moment, debating between investigating and finishing the hunt when the mouse's head jerked in the direction of the crying as it spiked before disappearing out of sight.
Welp. That clinches it.
Heaving a sigh at the lost mouse, Squirrelleap made his way towards the source stopping dead when he saw the blood underneath a fallen tree, and seeing a limp cream colored tail sticking out from under it. Some rogue had been caught out in this part of the forest when the earthquake hit. And perished.
What stopped him dead though was the small bodies clustered around the puddle of blood crying, and Squirrelleap's heart sank like a stone. 'Kits.'
Echopaw had volunteered to accompany Squirelleap when the warrior crouched to catch a mouse. Suddenly, little cries hit their ear drums and both were alerted. As the mouse ran off, Echopaw glanced at Squirrelleap. "What was that?" She followed him over to a bundle of abandoned kits. She felt sick when she noticed that the mother had been killed. She closed her eyes and bowed her head, feeling sorry for the little kits.
Squirrelleap winced, "Kits." He murmured softly, he counted the bundles. Fortunately they all seemed to be moving which was good. The only casualty... their mother. He let out a heavy sigh. "We're going to need more cats to bring them back to cam-" He trailed off closing his mouth as he realized they didn't have a camp to go back to anymore. "Back to the clearing I mean." He said. "I'd rather not leave these guys out here all on their own."
Echopaw glanced at Squirrelleap with a sorrow look in her eyes. She then turned her attention back to the kits, "poor little tykes..." He voice was soft. "I will help you carry them."
Umbrakit looked at the two new comers, his fluffy kitten fur bushed up. "Leave us alone!" he hissed, tears in his eyes.
Redkit’s eyes narrowed. “If you touch me, I’ll make your life miserable.” He couldn’t fight them, no, but there were other methods of following through.
Squirrelleap cocked his head. "well you can't stay here bud," He said. "You're going to need some food, shelter and what not."
Dreamkit whimpered and pressed closer to Umbrakit, the little tortoiseshell lowering her head as she cried softly, severely rattled by the terrible death of her mother.

(Luminouskit?)
Turbulentpaw had been out gathering herbs, when he overheard the sound of little voices. His ears swiveled towards the sounds, as he cautiously made his way over to figure out what they were looking at. Upon the sight of the little kits he purred slightly. Even though their mother had died, they didn't realize how lucky there were to be found by a NightClan patrol. The funny looking apprentice crouched down on there level "Come on little ones, We are from NightClan cats that is kind of like a really big family. I'm sorry about your mother, but he is right you know. You can't stay here. Come with us, so we can get some food in your bellies. My name is Turbulentpaw, my job is to help those that are sick or injured in NightClan"
Umbrakit swiped at Turbulentpaw's muzzle but missed by a whisker. He meant it more for a warning. "I said leave us alone!" He laid his tiny tail over Dreamkit in protection and comfort. "Our mama said to never trust strangers! So why should I trust you? I've never seen you before in my life!"
Finchpaw flinched, her eyes softened in sympathy as she looked at the medicine cat apprentice.

Turbulentpaw didn't flinch as the little paw struck out at him and instead just took a step backwards "Your right, you shouldn't trust strangers. You are very smart little one, and your siblings are lucky to have such a brace brother to protect them" he smiled "I know you are only doing what you think is best for your siblings, but how are you going to get enough to feed all of them? Where are you going to live? I am not going to make you come with us, but perhaps you should follow us and see what you think for yourselves"
Luminouskit hid behind her siblings shyly, pressing up against them as little trembled made it's way through her young body.
Umbrakit glanced at his siblings. How was he going to feed them? Then he turned his yellow gaze toward the Nightclan cats. "Very well. We will go with you. But...if you try anything, you'll regret it" He threatened, narrowing his eyes. Then he turned toward where his mother had disappeared under the tree. "Mama, don't worry about us, okay? These Nightclan cats said they are going to help us. I will make sure we stay together and strong." Tears started forming again and his voice began to crack. "I know you will still be here for us even if we can't see you. I promise to make you proud, mama. I promise." He bowed his head in grief, his heart aching. After a moment, he turned to his siblings. "We have to go with them now. Its our only way to survive. We have to stay together. Thats what mama would want."
(All of the kits have been adopted! Yay thank you all for taking one <3)
Squirrelleap gave a nod to Turbulentpaw, glad that he was there to help make sure the kits were going to be okay. He took a quick headcount. Seven. Seven kits who were now motherless. He could relate, his own mother had died when he and his brother Moosepaw had been kits, it had devastated their father and broken their little family beyond repair. "I know it's hard." He said softly. "But your brother here." He gestured to Umbrakit, "Is right, your mother would want you to live on. Life's not nice sometimes," He said honestly, straightening up. "And when it's not nice you got to square yourself up and keep moving forwards. You've had time to grieve... but now's time to do what's best to survive. And NightClan's happy to provide a safe home for you guys. I'll vouch for you too..." Not that Burningstar would likely deny kits entry into NightClan. "Give you guys time to put yourselves together," He added.
