Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was pitch black; all of her senses were heightened and focused as much as they could be. Despite not being able to see, however, she craned her neck anyways and tasted the sharp air with her tongue. Cold bit her toes and she suppressed a slight shiver. Turning her head behind her, she could just barley make out the dimly lit opening of the tunnel. As long as she could remember, Camelliasky had been terrified of the tunnel systems — though the sentiment had been watered down through the years.
She strode forward with a purposeful gate, feeling the walls of the tunnel with her whiskers and the cold stone that bit beneath her pads. Sure, it was a warmer Newleaf day up above; but down here the air got cooler and much more crisp. WinterClan's own Winter dwelling, one could even say.
It didn't take long for the calico she-cat to find another opening, probably one that led somewhere in the middle of the territory. Quiet as a mouse, she padded to the little spot and poked her head out of the hole — much like a groundhog would — and let out a shrill cry of surprise. For she definitely hadn't been expecting the face of another cat looming closely by.
Arizonaraspberry turned her head at the sound of a faint cry - almost like a kit. "Well hello," she said with a chuckle. "Ya know, why didn't we think of this? That cats will be coming out when others would be coming in.." the prison guard said, mostly to herself. She stepped aside to let she-cat out. "I apologize. Mostly in my own thoughts."
She laughed shrilly, her bright eyes glowing with amusement as she clambered fully out of the cold and chilly tunnels below into the much warmer terrain above. "No, no, I probably should have been paying attention to what I was doing. Usually there aren't cats wandering around down there, so I don't blame you for not realizing I was there," the calico she-cat said with a small smile, shaking out her pelt and glancing down where she had come. "Why are you out here, by the way?"
"Well.. I'm a prison guard.." the she-cat said laughingly. "I usually just patrol the area anyway. It's not in position technically but I feel like it should be.. so I do it." she said with a warm smile. She looked over at the moon and then back at the she-cat. "Plus, not many cats know about tunnels these far into the territory. Why are you out here?"
"Oh.. duh," Camelliasky said, recalling seeing the she-cat around in Camp where the prisoners were kept. The small calico wrinkled her nose slightly. "I hate admitting this but I'm probably too much of a pushover to ever be able to be a Prison Guard. Good thing we have cats who can do it, though. I'm more useful hunting." With her next question she smiled and shrugged awkwardly, "Not a lot of cats know about the Tunnels, like you said. I sometimes like to come here and just explore them or wander around. To think, or to just get out. I don't get along with a lot of cats so... well, yeah."
