Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Coyoteway moved slowly, lazily uncurling himself from his tight position in his nest. Eerie golden eyes surveying the empty den; realizing it must be later than he had assumed. Seeing as he den was empty, the black hand member the only one seemingly having chosen to sleep in. Pushing to his paws he yawned widely and slowly stood, moving with leisurely steps out into the clearing. Blinking at the bright light and letting out a huff, already disappointed with being up for the day.
Despite what may have been expected to be seen outside the comforting darkness of the warriors den, it wasn’t what was waiting for him: a black and white Japanese bobtail laid outside the den, rolling around on his back and mewing. Stopping in his tracks, he blinked large yellow eyes up at the tom, tilting his head. “Hi.” He blinked. “I thought I was alone.”
"Hmm. You thought you were alone while rolling around outside the warriors den?" Coyoteway asked his son, peering at him with an air of disbelieve. "And to think I assumed you my smart child Ancientkit." The sigh was full of woe as the long-legged tom stepped over the young kit and headed towards the fresh-kill pile. Half-way there he turned his head and raised a brow as he watched his child for a moment. "Well? Are you coming?" He prodded as he turned and continued over to grab a rabbit from the pile.
Blinking up at the tom, he instantly perked up and hopped to his feet, trotting after him. "Do I get to eat with you?" He wondered aloud. "That'd be nice. I don't do anything with anyone and even though that would normally fill me with anxiety that would leave me struggling to do just about anything for days, this is surprisingly nice." He smiled. "If that's the case, that is." He glanced at him. "I'm glad you think I'm smart though. That's relieving."
"I sure don't think your smart now." Coyoteway responded blithely as he pushed the rabbit over slightly so it sat in-front of his kit. Noticeably the tom had not taken a bite of it himself. Inside the rabbit he had stuffed asparagus fern, a plant from Aiko's twolegs garden. He had learned from her brother that the plant was toxic; causing vomiting, nausea, and abdominal pain. The black hand member was curious to see if his son would notice or taste the plant and realize that perhaps the rabbit wasn't all it seemed. He had low hopes though, assuming his son was going to simply eat it without thought like most kits, his behavior early not lending him in a good light to his father. "And stop being anxious, it's not useful."
