Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Bearshadow was a light sleeper and an early bird, he was out and about by dawn, wandering the camp. He decided to wait a little bit before hunting, looking out into the surroundings from the camp. He was distanced from most other warriors, sitting down. He looked very brooding in the way that he sat. His tail curled up against his soft grey fur, lightly tapping his side. ". . ." The subject of his pondering was his attitude. He wanted to be left alone, which was quite different to his usually happy-go-lucky attitude, but it was only instinct to be social, or to at least find a mate. How would he deal with that? He was a young tom in his prime and he wouldn't get very many chances. This dilemma explained his frown.
Soon he turned back to allow his shadowed green eyes to peer at the rest of the camp. Cats were just rising, it seemed. He would have accused them of being lazy if he was in a worse mood. There seemed no one else around for him looking to bother him just yet, or no one who cared to even come over. He sighed, it was fine, he decided. He didn't need the attention that he'd been deprived his whole life. He'd learned to live without it. He awaited the approaching of a cat who needed him, expecting no more interaction than that.
Roaringsun had never been the social type, not in the slightest- but, he thought he was the only one awake. So when he strolled into camp with some rather plump rabbits dangling from his mouth, he immediately locked eyes with Bearshadow, thus starting the awkward staring contest that always begins before a conversation. He turned his back as he put his prey into the fresh-kill pile and silently prayed to be left alone for, what to him, was time to finally sleep the day away.
Bearshadow hadn't expected to lock eyes with anyone, so when he made contact with the antisocial feline Roaringsun, he was a little stunned. He blinked once, twice, three times before moving over towards Roaringsun, approaching the ginger tabby with a mrrow of greeting leaving his muzzle.
Great. The exact opposite of his prayers. Was StarClan even real? Or the ancients of old? If they were, surely they would have heard his pleads for solitude. He sighed quite audibly and turned around to face the other tom. "Hi, Bearshadow."
Bearshadow noticed by Roaringsun's expression that maybe he didn't want to be bothered by now, but nonetheless, the tom responded to the other. He offered him a small smile, and dipped his head in yet another greeting, before speaking again, "It's a beautiful day out. What are you doing?"
"I spent the whole morning hunting so far. The fresh-kill pile seemed low and I woke up early, so why not pass the time." Roaringsun spoke as if his routine was normal. He woke up unnaturally earlier than the rest of the clan- even earlier than their own leader. While this usually made him a prime candidate for dawn or midnight patrols and hunting parties, this was also a bane of his- as how early he rose meant that he laid earlier than normal as well. He was almost nocturnal to the unhealthy point of how he slept during the day.
Bearshadow nodded along to his words, humming an agreement in the process. He was the same way as Roaringsun; he was an early bird and was up before the crack of dawn, and there were a few times where he saw the other tom up, as well. He's just never approached him. "Ah, hunting. I need to do that as well. I wonder if Valleystar is going to organize the patrols for today," He spoke, his gaze sweeping over the camp and landing on the leader's den, where their Sovereign dwelled.
