Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It wasn't the same sort of look she'd given Deal, of wanting to watch another's world crumble all around them, of giddy glee at finally ending a cat. Nor was it the same as her interactions with the former WinterClan leader Leatherfern, who she'd seen as more of an arrogant tom who didn't know when to keep his paws to himself.
No, this was more a look of pure and utter rage. There was nothing beyond that, just pure anger and a desire to kill the one who'd taken her second life.
In the wake of the revelation that the Priestess had orchestrated the kidnapping of Shule in order to get to her kits, the Sentinel had come to Foxstar for confirmation, and when she'd gotten it, the ebony feline had attacked, taking one of the fox-heart's lives as easily as the leader had done to the likes of Burningstar when the NightClan leader had annoyed her. Naturally, Foxstar hadn't taken it well.
Things with the Regime had been heading for war anyway, with Foxstar egging things on, but now she was no longer just toying with the group until they retaliated or she got bored enough to attack. After her lost life, she'd switched from her original plan to intending to attack in mere days.
That was why she sat in one of the side caverns of the Janus' tunnels, having asked Dragonswrath to gather them, as well as his promised, to meet with her and Littlebird. Everyone in SunClan knew now that she had lost a life, that Duskpaw and Arcanepaw weren't the kits of Darkcomplex and Strikhedoniadalisay, but Sentinels Shule and Sean of the Regime, which had caused this whole thing in the first place. But in true Foxstar fashion, she ignored the fact her lost life was due to her own actions, placing the blame entirely on the cat who'd hurt her. It was rare for her to be so entirely irrational that she would immediately turn to an attack, but it wasn't everyday either that a cat could, in one strike, take out the dangerous Priestess.

She had always thought that it was odd that Strick would give birth, after being told for so long that she was barren. She had always just assumed that it was another Sun God's miracle, but obviously that was not the case. While Foxstar included her promised in on many secrets, this was not one of them. She had been just as surprised to learn the truth as the other cats. Now a war was brewing, and it would be up to her, Dragonswrath, and the other Janus to suporrt the High Priestess through the challenges ahead.

"How are our herb stocks?" Earlier, Foxstar may have prefaced the conversation with pleasantries and queries into the status of her kits who would soon be apprentices, but now, she seemed far more focused on battle. This was a long time coming, but of course, she ended up being the aggressor. Leave it to the High Priestess to not be able to wait for an attack on their own turf.

"Lower than I would like" she admitted. She had spent a lot of time gathering herbs, but the clan had been through so many battles lately that they were going through their herb stock rather quickly. Not to mention that they had to provide for DayClan and SpringClan both for many moons. Their stock was starting to recover now that it was starting to turn to new leaf, but it would take some time. "However if we gather more cobwebs, we should be ok through this battle. We will just need to restock before anything else occurs" Which is what worried Littlebird most. It was never just one battle, one thing leading to another. She didn't want to be caught off guard if one of the many clans that Foxstar had made enemies of decided to try to make their move.

"We have the herbs tended by the Janus, and now that it's newleaf, we should be just fine." Foxstar replied, not seeming particularly worried. "If we get the chance after the battle, we'll see if we can raid the Regime's stores for their herbs, that should help as well."

Littlebird dipped her head respectfully, Foxstar was not only her leader but her mentor as well. She had been doing this far longer than she had, and she trusted the she-cat judgment. If Foxstar said they would be fine on herbs, she would trust her even though she had our doubts. After all the regime's resources would also be there own if everything went according to plan. "I will check in with the Janus to ensure they are prepared"
"Good. Is there anything you can think of I might be forgetting?" She wanted to make sure. Foxstar could admit she wasn't being totally rational, though she didn't care if she was honest. So long as Shule died, SunClan could perish in the battle. She could rebuild. But still, she wasn't too off the edge. Not to the point she was willing to forgo Littlebird's much calmer thoughts and considerations.

"Just be careful..." she trailed off trying to figure out how to tell her that she disagreed with this without being to upfront about it. "I don't have a good feeling about this upcoming battle. We have superior numbers, but we are going into unfamiliar terrain. Our warriors are not used to fighting underground, and once inside there will be little room for escape. There will likely be a trap waiting for you once you get there.. but you already know that. Don't you?"

She nodded, but did chuckle slightly at Littlebird's words. "Dragonswrath is a valuable ally on our part, giving us the layout of the Regime. Indeed, this will be a difficult battle, but I believe that even if we cannot guarantee a victory, we will do great harm to the Regime. This is but their first time facing SunClan. From now on, we can gain experience, and if needed, train cats in the Janus tunnels." Foxstar sounded far more confident than she should, a rare show of arrogance from a feline who was usually meticulous to the point of irritation, planning out each and every possibility. In a way, it highlighted her fury to charge into something she hadn't already made plan upon plan for. But then again, Foxstar never had been the type to lose gracefully, if Deal was anything to go by.

Littlebird nodded, but she still felt rather uneasy about all of this. Sure they could train later on, but that wouldn't help them in this battle. "Just be careful" she paused with a little sigh. She would have to trust that Foxstar knew what she was doing. What else could she do? The sun god hadn't spoken against the plan, so she couldn't over rule Foxstar's decision. All she could do was help her plan, and try to think about things that might have escape Foxstar's mind in the rush.

Perhaps not, but the Janus at least had enough practice, and the pointers Dragonswrath had given them would be sufficient, so she hoped. "I'm always careful Littlebird. Barring something unexpected, things should go perfectly."
