Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Shule had killed Foxstar, taken the second of her nine lives in an effortless swing of her paw after the revelation that the SunClan Priestess had orchestrated the Sentinel's disappearance in order to get the ebony feline's kits for her own, masking them as Strikhedoniadalisay and his own kits.
Many cats in SunClan were all for retaliation. Was it treasonous of him that he thought she'd deserved it, that he really didn't want to fight against the group that housed the kits he loved as his own, even now knowing he wasn't related to them at all. Perhaps. But Darkcomplex didn't find that he cared much. His heart had been broken when he watched some of his kits leave for the Regime, and he felt oddly happy when Foxstar lay on the ground... dead. Of course, he'd turned and ran for camp to alert the clan, but that was more out of self preservation than anything. He couldn't see his kits again if he was six fox lengths under, after all.
Darkcomplex wandered the empty field, dead and brown after the snowy leafbare, though the smallest sprigs of green were starting to sprout through the damp ground in the first true signs of newleaf. He'd been keeping to himself more since then. On one paw, he knew that none of this was his clanmate's fault, but Foxstar's, and yet, he still felt deeply betrayed. Even more so angered with the Sun God given that the deity didn't seem to care. Foxstar had done something to intentionally hurt him, shouldn't that have been a problem?
"Mind if I join you?" Frostpaw had no problems with approaching Darkcomplex. She had noticed that he had been keeping to himself here lately. It had started after Shule had taken one of Foxstar's lives and that honestly piqued her interest. He had been the one to alert the clan and she wondered if there was something he wasn't telling them. She wasn't going to confront him or anything like that, but she did recognize the opportunity to possibly have a bit of fun.
All of this was hidden behind a sweet smile and friendly blue eyes. She had originally come out here to get away from the annoyance that was her sister, but now she was glad she came. If nothing else she might get a halfway decent conversation out of him that didn't revolve around who was the better hunter or who was the stronger fighter. Snowpaw was predictably boring. For now, she remained beside Darkcomplex, ensuring that she dipped her head respectfully as was appropriate when an apprentice was speaking to a full warrior all while keeping the same friendly expression on her face.
Technically, he wasn't supposed to be alone. Cats were to go out with at least one warrior or two apprentices. Of course, it didn't appear Frostpaw was following that particular rule either. As for her question, he didn't really want company, if he was honest. But, he couldn't come up with a decent excuse, so instead, he shrugged. "I suppose you can."
"What are you doing out here by yourself?" She knew that she technically wasn't supposed to be out here on her own either, but she would deal with that question when it came her way. "Were you going hunting? I've been working on my hunting. I'll be a warrior soon you know. I just have to impress Foxstar and show her that I'm good enough to be a warrior."

Declining to mention she wasn't supposed to be out either, Darkcomplex smiled slightly. "I'm sure she's noticed. If you're worried though, you could always show me some of what you've done." After all, he was the 'mate' to a Senator, said she-cat also being the DayClan leader, and Foxstar's friend. Well, if Foxstar really had such things anyway. Presumably he'd be a voice that could push her forward into becoming a warrior, if the Priestess had any reason to hold off.
Interest shone in her eyes. This would be her chance to show how much better she'd gotten than Snowflight. Her sister might seem perfect, but Frostpaw knew the truth. She was destined to be far superior than her goody goody sister. Surely the Sun God smiled on those that took things into their own paws rather than leaving them all up to chance. Darkcomplex was someone Foxstar might listen to as well. For the moment, she set her curiosity to the side and decided to play along and show her skill. "That sounds like fun actually. What did you have in mind?" Whether it was hunting or fighting, she would be sure to show him that her skill was flawless.

"How about a hunting competition?" He suggested. Given recent events, Darkcomplex would rather avoid most of the talk of fighting, and instead focus on other things. The clan could always use more prey, and now, more than in previous moons, they could actually have a decent competition.
