Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was an unusual time of day- twilight, the blending of night and day- for Lusterpaw, who came from the nocturnal Moonclan, to be at the border on patrol. At this hour there was still a chance she would encounter a Sunclan cat, something that intrigued and unsettled her. But it wasn't like she was out here on her own terms- her mentor had sent her to examine a burrow believed to be a foxhole, and it just happened to lay right at the border between Moonclan and their nemesis. Lusterpaw pushed down her fear- she would never attack a cat out here on duty, so why would anyone attack her?
It was gray and heavily foggy as the small she-cat approached the place she had last seen the burrow. She moved like a shadow, entirely black and fluffy, cloaked in her pelt and treading lightly among the leaves. The only bit of color on her were her eyes, a curious dandelion hue, which now darted along the edge of the territory and stopped suddenly when she spotted another cat. After a moment of hesitation, she continued approaching, head held high.

Ginger fur could barely be seen weaving silently through the underbrush that dappled the otherwise sparse SunClan territory. The vegetation growing thicker as the feline moved further away from the center of SunClan territory and closer to the other territories that bordered alongside the clan that worshipped the Sun. Dark penny coloured eyes glinted in the twilight, the angle that the tom was walking at cast half his body in the remaining soft glow of the sun, while the other was shadowed with the dark blue hues of the moon. He moved swiftly through the territory as if he was on a mission, each paw step seeming to have a purpose behind each long stride.
Though the tom seemed to move with purpose, he had little to no reason to be out here. None of his siblings had told him to be out here, and his mentor was currently sleeping the night away. His whiskers gave a faint twitch as the vegetation in front of him slowly darkened as the late day fog started to settle in. His pace soon slowing to a halt just alongside the border that his Clan shared with MoonClan. His eyes shifting along the wall of scent that separated the two vastly different cats. The ginger tom huffed as he moved down the borderline not quite sure if he wanted to cross or not, while his Clan wouldn’t chaste him for wandering into another territory, he also didn’t want to deal with the prying they may do asking why he had done it. His answer would be rather simple because he had wanted too.
As he debated the idea in his mind his eyes caught what seemed to be the opening of a foxhole just a few tail-lengths ahead of him, the mouth of the hole a few mouse lengths into the Moon dwellers territory. Curiosity and the slight hope that there might be something inside that the tom would be able to ink his claws into was all he needed to take the two paw steps over the border and towards the hole. His paw steps careful and calculated all his senses on alert as he neared.
The inky she-cat's ears perked as she watched Bloodpaw cross the border. So he was intruding- her indignation flared, but dwindled as she realized she wasn't sure how to handle this new development. After a long moment of consideration she stepped forward again, clearing her throat to get the tom's attention. "Excuse me, but you are trespassing on our territory." Her voice came out oddly formal, and she moved to intercept the ginger apprentice. "The fox-hole lies on Moonclan territory and it is my duty to inspect it, not yours. Leave now before there's any more trouble."
Was that too stiff? She wasn't sure, but she did know it was her responsibility to her clan to chase off this Sunclan tom. Her luminous eyes focused on him, trying to portray stern disapproval.

Bloodpaw had just discerned that any of the scents that surrounded the foxhole consisted of only MoonClan. Any traces of fox had gone stale, a fox hadn’t probably been here in days. His nose had wrinkled in disappointment and he’d just been about to turn around and leave when the sound of someone clearing their throat caused the toms head to snap in the direction of the unknown cat. His eyes narrowed slightly as the black she-cat appeared from the depths of the grey fog. He scanned the she-cats posture. Too stiff. The thought echoed in his mind. As if she wasn’t too sure of herself and her decision to approach him.
He gave a low snort and rolled his eyes turned his body to face the cat head on. The tom hardly ever spoke a word, but he’d been itching for a fight and the disappointment of finding nothing in the foxhole still burned low in his belly. Maybe he'd be able to coax this cat into exchanging a few blows. “Trouble’s my middle name kitten” he voiced his brow arching as if trying to egg the MoonClan she-cat on. His voice had a low tone to it, the words almost ending in a sneer if you listened close enough though his eyes shone with a strangely dull boredness.
Was this puffed up tom really trying to intimidate her? Lusterpaw let out a dry chuckle, relaxing a little. If growing up with her brother had taught her one thing, it was how to handle insufferable toms. "Please." She moved a few steps toward him, slinking along the ground. "I suggest you go back to the apprentice's den rather than stepping over the border like a troublesome kit." Lusterpaw's amber eyes caught on the toms, faintly annoyed that she was having to deal with this at the moment.
"And the name's Lusterpaw. Not kitten." Her voice was slow and steady, more assured now that she had seemingly identified the kind of tom she was working with.

Bloodpaw watched the black she-cat move towards him, his amber eyes unfazed by her slinking advance. At her words, the toms whiskers twitched in faint amusement at her attempts to berate him. The ginger tom shifted his stance to the side so he as positioned in front of the mouth to the foxhole. Bloodpaw mirrored the MoonClan apprentice's chuckle, though his seemed detached from any type of notable emotion apart from a bored emptiness. "Hmmm, I don't care" the SunClan tom simply responded to her latter remark of correcting him about her name.
"Also why spend my time in my territory when there are more ... interesting things to do elsewhere" he voiced his tail swaying side to side. "So, I plan to stay here until I'm ready to go. If you want me to leave, by all means, kitten, make me" his monotonous speech transitioning to one of a more taunting and darker nature. His relaxed posture shifting to a more defensive stance as his speaking tone changed.
Her battling practice was limited, sure, but she felt more than confident that she could take this pest out. She drifted forward again, only a few tail-lengths away from Bloodpaw, her movements slow and deliberate. "If that's a challenge, consider it accepted." Lusterpaw stated coolly, eyes narrowing at the tom.
It wasn't until she stepped forward again that the ground began to tremble under her paws. Her focus was broken rather suddenly, and her amber eyes darted around. "What's going o-" The sentence was abruptly cut off as she dropped alongside the tom into the sinkhole that had suddenly inverted into the old fox den. Everything went dark for a second, and dust rose like fog when she regained consciousness. Lusterpaw coughed into the haze, confusion in her eyes as she looked up at the twilight sky through the hole ten feet above their heads.

The SunClan tom's eyes glinted with a spark of joy as the she-cat crouched towards him. It had been easier then he'd thought to get Lusterpaw to fight him. His position shifted once again. Shifting lower to the ground ever so slightly as he mirrored her movements slithering closer and closer to her. His pointed ears perked up high and alert. Bloodpaw's body had been anticipating her to strike at hi first. The ginger tom as used to playing the waiting game, used to the other striking first and him countering. Now, what he hadn't expected was the ground to disappear before their very paws just as they were tail lengths away from each other.
As the earth began to give way beneath both of them. With widened penny amber eyes Bloodpaw had tried to back peddle his way to safety. But, he'd gone too far inside the sinkholes radius. He was sent falling down the ten-foot hole alongside Lusterpaw. As he hit the ground the air was knocked from his lungs and any air that he'd tried to breathe in as dust filled, causing the tom to start coughing. The toms vision blurring. He was left heaving for a few moments as the dust settled, his blurry vision slowly residing. His tabby body panged with pain as he shifted around in the rubble his gaze looking around the dark hole only just make out the shape of Lusterpaw who was focused on looking up at the sky from the hole they'd just created. He let out a low hiss of annoyance though his throat and eyes stung. How'd he let this happen? Was this the Sun Gods way of punishing him for what he and his siblings had done? Without even thinking he found himself snapping at the she-cat his voice hoarse from the coughing, "Look what you did!"
