BrookClan is a unique setup as it combines traits of both traditional clan life (as seen in the Erin Hunter universe) as well as the darker, more violent tendencies of the revolutionary groups (as seen on Classic). Within our ranks, trust is a gift rarely given to those outside of your blood ties, and wherever you turn there's a plot waiting to be hatched. It's a realm of mistrust and at times anarchy, but at the end of the day, the cats of BrookClan stand for one another, no matter their title. The Royals will assist the common, voiny offering their aid to trainees and podaroks. The Ut Religiousness serves as comfort as well as conspiracy.
No matter your taste, we offer varying flavors that will hopefully appease your interests in one way or another. Want to create a cat with a rogue name while still maintaining ties to a group? Step right up. Want a bridge between the traditional clans and the revolutionary groups? Here's your chance. If you're unsure the road less traveled may not be your forte, never fear: BrookClan offers its members the chance to create traditional characters with traditional names. what is the monarchy ?
The Monarchy was a rogue group that swept through BrookClan back when it was still a traditional clan and offered to aid them, as their way of life was crumbling. They made due on their promises but brought with them traditions, beliefs, and a code the original BrookClan cats had never experienced. Thus, the blend and official instatement of the Monarchy was born.
what are the ranks ?
The hierarchy of BrookClan, while at first glance intimidating and confusing, is quite simple once you break it down. The royal positions (those limited to staff positions, such as tsar, boyar, vrachi, acecoop, etc.) can be found on the BrookClan page. We'll only be going over open positions (that is, positions you as a member can join).
THE VOINY – the equivalent of warriors. The voiny are those without royal blood and no ties to the royal bloodline through mating or family. These felines are constantly trying to become more powerful and are the most eager to rise to royalty. The Magistratus is selected of the Voiny.
THE KADETS – the equivalent of apprentices. Kadets if noble or royal with have a ! next to their name. When they're promoted they will be promoted not to a voin but a Dvoryane.
THE DAMY – the equivalent of queens. If they so choose they can be a permanent mother in the den, though only if they were a Voiny. Nobles and court members cannot live in the den.
THE PODAROKS – the equivalent of kits. Podarok's all become kadets but like the kadets they are marked with a ! if they are of royal blood or a noble kit.

what are dedications ?
Dedications are given at birth by the High Priest of the Ut Religiousness. A dedication is your character's acceptance by that god as one of their 'children' and thus subservients. Whomever your character may be dedicated to, they may call upon their deity for assistance in times of emotional need or guidance. Part of their reciprocation of this open communication, however, is completing the missions passed down to them by their fated deity. Missions are posted per month by the deity you're dedicated to and you'll be informed of it's existence upon creation.
CAUIL – the god of life. The affiliated season is Spring. Those dedicated to Cauil are often times warned to have a very difficult live in which many obstacles will present themselves. It is believed that only through misfortune and suffering may cats grow stronger. Values: Challenging circumstances, overcoming difficulties, personal growth, misfortune.
TIVERONAH – the god of chaos. The affiliated season is Summer. Those dedicated to Tiveronah are generally cats with grey morality at best. Even though these cats are impish in nature, they do not break the core laws of BrookClan. Their chaos, then, is controlled. Values: Spontaneity, casualness, excitement, charm, confidence, instigation.
MARLI – the god of death. The affiliated season is Autumn. Disciples of Marli are often the most empathic and patient towards others.They believe the world can only be changed through good acts, and have a tendency to support the underdogs. Most who acquire medical positions were dedicated to Marli in their infancy. Values: Empathy, kindness, mercy, patience, understanding, helpfulness, humbleness.
DEVONEI – the god of order. The affiliated season is Winter. Cats dedicated to Devonei follow the law as it is written. They are the ones who demand justice and recompense for the sins committed against the group. They are often the least tolerant of the felines and they often have a low value for life itself. These cats are often merciless. Most felines that go on to be selected as the Ut Religiousness were first dedicated to Devonei. Values: Law, order, meticulousness, business, thoroughness.
Your character must have a dedication. If you do not provide a dedication in the format of your joining response, your character will not be added until you have updated your post with their dedication.

AMADEUS / BLANKSLATE [ Ranvieg House ] A picture of serenity, large round yellow eyes and smooth black furred coat. A solid foundation with a deep resolve and hardened spine. Getting under Amadeus's skin is nearly impossible. Almost impervious to judgement and warnings. He does as he pleases rather right or wrong and will smile in the face of adversity. Relishing in a challenge, the blood the boils within his veins is anything other than serene. A skilled charmer and manipulator he is not afraid of lowering himself to further himself in the future. ABLUVIAN / PRIMORDIALHAZE A smaller tom with the perfect white and ginger spots and patches of black interrupting the statuesque. His eyes clear and gray. Abluvian is the silent observer. While his dedicate is Marli he struggles against his natural instinct. He's a cat of noble intention and values honesty and integrity. Marli punishes him whenever a cat cries out in pain. Abluvian feels trapped in place. Forced to listen and to watch the pain of others. When all he wants to do is rescue. To easy pain. To save. Abluvian is kind, generous, and loving. GEMINI / PRIMORDIALHAZE Maybe it was how she was raised. Maybe it was the fact that her whole life the fact that her father, Declan the ex high priest, was put to trial for having her and her siblings. Maybe it was the way her mother, Halsey, seemed to be there physically but never there emotionally. Was she loved or wasn't she? Was she a mistake or was she supposed to be there? Gemini, no matter how old she gets seems to never be able to come to terms. All she is sure of is that she loves her siblings, and she loves her parents. Gemini has one blue eyes like her fathers and one amber eye like her mothers. Her pelt is flawless white like her fathers white angora fur. While her father was royalty by promotion she did not earn the same as his daughter. From the day of her birth it seemed the entirety of the royal bloodlines were against her just for who she was. She trusts no one and refuses to let herself fall in love for fear of rejection or betrayal. Gemini has no friends. FAWNEYES / UNIQCRIM white and calico she-cat. Sweet and quiet, you wouldn't expect her sharp tongue or bright wits. Dedicated to Cauil – Voiny
THOREN / UNIQCRIM Sssssssh. This was all his mother ever said to him. His mother who was ashamed of his birth, ashamed of him, ashamed of herself. Thoren was born amongst secrecy and shame and even as an adult, has no clue as to why. His mother is Fawneyes, A Voiny of Brookclan and he has no idea as to his father. He assumed his father was a rogue or a cat from another clan but as soon as he was weaned she stopped speaking to him and immediately leaving him alone on the nursery to return to her duties. This is where the large tabby tom earned his new friend, a she-cat name Loki who he trusted and trained alongside for many seasons. What puts them apart is he is a Voiny and she is a Dvoryane but that never stopped their friendship. Through thick and thin, this loyal tom would do anything to protect and stand besides her as a friend and a companion. Dedicated to Cauil – Voiny

RUTA / UNIQCRIM A gorgeous brown tabby she-cat with eyes like a pool of clean water. Ruta is an elegant and graceful she-cat, carry the wisdom and words of a million years with her. Ruta sees the world in black and white in terms of good and evil and there is very little grey area. Her mother is Tatri and her father is unknown. Dedicated to Marli – Podarok
KIARA / MOONBOUND Reckless is one way to describe Kiara. The only one who truly brings this out in her is her crush, Kovu; when the two are together, trouble is bound to follow suit. Curiosity brims at her edges as she thinks of all the possibilities of the world. She wants to figure everything and anything out, and she enjoys to go on countless adventures to do just that. She has the heart of a wild child, tying in with her recklessness and her tendency to be childish at times. With a strong will, nothing can ever hold this she-cat down, for she continues on with a warm smile on her face and a heart ready to take on the world. Kiara has the ability to see the best in others, no matter how 'bad' they may seem, and she is also very good at bringing out the best in others. With a positive outlook in life, it's not hard to see why Kiara is always found doing whatever makes her heart happy. Kiara is a russet colored she-cat with darker russet stripes marking her forehead, leading into a one dark stripe going down her back and her tail. WILLIAM / LAVENDER. A scholar in black, destined for greatness or so he believes. William is a born and bred BrookClan cat. His lineage while long is nothing special, simply ordinary cats who had ordinary lives. William took what he was dealt and vowed to improve upon it. His mother only spurred him on, she had lived through several different upheavals in the clan and believed it was time for her family to take over. While William may think highly of himself, he could never fool himself into believing his mother’s dreams. He spent his first moons soaking in all he could learn from stories he was told. As a kadet he put all he could into his training, pushing himself farther than what was reasonable. As a new voiny he began to leave the territory in search of more knowledge. William has never told anyone why he leaves, only that he is and he will be back. He always returns, never forgetting his true home. William has picked up many things from his travels though he may not always be forthcoming with his knowledge of foreign lands. BrookClan still offers him new experiences, it’s not unusual to find him somewhere deep in the study of nature or the tales of an elder. He holds an uncanny ability to sit motionless for extended periods of time, a trait that passes over to his mind as well. It is rather hard to upset William or at least get a physical reaction out of him. He is prone to keeping things close to his chest, be it secrets or emotions. This leads him to come off a bit cynical, he tends to look at the negative, or realistic as he likes to call it. Some can perceive him as gruff or moody at times, though it is often because he feels they are interrupting his studies. William is a tall and lean tom with silky fur that appears longer in some places. It is a sooty Black that fades to a soft grey along his belly. Faint tabby stripes mark his sides and run through the grey patch on his chest. His black face is given a dignified look with a Roman nose. Wide ears offset the narrow head with a long muzzle. Olive drab eyes speckled with silver match thin silvery whiskers. His tail is rather fluffy in comparison to the rest of his coat. William keeps himself in pristine condition for a healthy body supports a healthy mind. Dedicated to Devonei – Voiny
MEDUSALITH / MEDUSA Swirls of ginger stripes mark her cream-colored pelt, complimenting the fiery pair of blue eyes that bless her features. A soft smile plays at her lips, while a sigh drifts from them and floats into the air in a whisper. A pink nose crinkles itself at you, inhaling your scent and exhaling with a soft hum in her throat. She's watching your every move, observing you, getting to know you by just looking. She can feel your energy and tell what kind of person you are. Good or bad, she turns away with a 'hmph', leaving you breathless and honestly, alone. Medusalith, or Medusa, has always acted haughty; superior to everyone and anyone, and quite disdainful about it. She isn't of royal blood, no, having been a young feline who stumbled upon BrookClan among her travels. She was six moons old then, full of spunk and energy, and ready to take on the world. BrookClan let her into their ranks with little to no questions, due to her age, and she felt the regal air around her when she stepped foot into their camp. This was where she belongs. Medusalith is fiercely loyal to her Clan, though she struggles with putting herself before them, or them before herself. It switches constantly, all depending on if she is feeling selfish that day or not. Medusa always has an opinion about everything, and isn't afraid to voice it, no matter how controversial it may seem. Medusa means good in life, though sometimes, negativity can get the best of her; she didn't come from the best of backgrounds. All her life, she was alone. Her mother abandoned her when she was only three moons old, and from that point on she had to fend for herself. Medusa was by no means weak, and was quite good at hunting, but the lack of a mother or father in her life proved to be detrimental to her health. Haughty, sarcastic, loyal, opinionated, and stubborn, Medusa is an interesting cat, and one would be able to knock her walls down if they truly meant goodwill. Dedicated to Devonei – Kadet
LILITH / BLANKSLATE A jaw dropping beauty and heart stopping wicked. Lilith is a she-cat who was born wrong, twisted in self from the moment she took her first breaths. Though she played devil in disguise and it was a long time before her birth family realized what they had within their midst. Murdering her brother in cold blood simply because she desired to see what would happen. Unable to lie herself out of that one she was chased out from her birth home and struck out on her own. She fell for a tom who seemed a perfect mixture of grace, patience, and forgiving while still being a formidable fighter. They had grave differences but Lilith and he worked through them, or more he was patient enough with her that they could come to compromises on their disagreements. But even this was ruined by the rotten core inside Lilith. Leaving her to leave the paradise the two had brought and head to Brookclan.

URIEL / BLANKSLATE
Twin brother to Gabriel, and Raphael. Comparatively leaner than his siblings Uriel looks small next to them, despite standing the same height. Lacking the presence and confidence they hold. With their fathers disappearance and their move to Brookclan the tom lost something he never quite managed to get back. Now a proverbial wall flower compared to Gabriel and Raphael. A stunning pure white tom with long legs and silky fur; baby blue eyes reminiscent of the summer sky on a clear day. He is deeply dedicated to his brothers and mother Lilith. Putting a heavy value on family which lines up well with Brookclan's system of bloodlines. Nervous and shy he never approaches others as how they assume he would. He does not hold his head but instead hangs it nervously. He does not stride but instead steps in stutters; constantly thinking of turning back. A pure star among a dark sky he just needs someone to help build him up again.

LUCIFER / BLANKSLATE
A black sheep in the family, Lucifer remembers their father the most of his mother Liliths second litter and aims to be like him. Not wanting to let the memory die. Believing that surely their father must have been a great cat for his older brothers to mourn him so. But in trying to become his father he is twisting the memories and becoming a demented version of him. A nice mix of his devious mother and pristine father. Pushing boundaries and constantly speaking out where it would be better to hold his tongue. He challenges the status quo and is deeply about punishing others wrongs. So much so it leaves a sour taste in others mouths. Younger brother to Gabriel, Uriel, and Raphael. Littermate to Asteroth, Serapheil, Razeil, and Vercheil.
