Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Okay so here is what is going on...my tom cat Lionspirit was killed in battle and I decided to create him a brother. He and his brother were separated and so he hears that Lionspirit lives as one of the clan cats and finds out that its Dayclan. However, he doesn't know that Lionspirit has been killed but he is here looking for him! Not to mention, he is an outsider)
A large white tom with golden eyes crossed the border from the rogue lands. He had traveled very far to find Dayclan. To find his brother, Lionspirit. The tom, ironically known as Little Cloud, though going by the name of Cloud, made his way over the border. He had hoped that the directions he was given was correct. However, he didn't know where it was exactly. He heard something and he froze, ears perked.
There were plenty of friendly cats in DayClan, but out of all the cats to run into the poor guy ran into Auburnwolf and Freckledorange.
Auburnwolf stalked low to the ground trailing after a mouse and ahdn't realized he had just run into Cloud. He took a step back and shook out his auburn Siamese fur before taking an immediate second step back with a hiss, "What do you think you're doing on DayClan territory?" He hissed.
Freckledorange who had been hunting with Auburnwolf immediately looked up and let another low hiss, but instead of coming up beside his clanmate he came up from behind Cloud. His tail lacked back and forth, but he made no move and said no words as he waited for the tom to explain himself.
Fear and confusion struck the massive white maine coon as the cats reacted hostile toward him. He knew very little about the clan cats and wasn't prepared to be greeted as such. Though the tom didn't react with hostility, he simply dipped his head. "Please, I'm looking for my brother. I do not mean any harm." His voice was deep but soft and gentle. His amber eyes held flecks of gold within them, much like Lionspirit's did. He looked almost identical to the fallen Dayclan warrior apart from the color of their fur.
(I deleted Auburnwolf so it's just Freckledorange now xD)
Freckledorange's tail relaxed and he nodded. Having a brother he knew there wasn't anyone in the world who was going to stop him from seeing him. Even if they were stronger, faster, or more clever, he'd find a way and he knew this tom would probably find a way too. Plus he didn't exactly want to tear two brothers apart, "Sure, I understand. I know everyone in the clan, let me know his name and I might know if he's on a patrol or not."
Freckledorange looked odd in the way a rose would look off in a field of wild flowers. He looked straight out from a fairytale. Exotic patterns dance across his pelt like smoke carying on a gentle breeze. His wine-red fur seemed to come to life whichever way the sunlight beamed onto him. Gorgeous hues of tangerine, marigold, amber, and blushing scarlets. His build simply looked mythical, parts of his fur were long and wispy billowing majestically in the wind. His tail was long and seemed almost like a flame running at the end of his tail as though the tail itself were a wick. He was genetically flawless, a product of two-leg intervention to breed him. In short he had the muscles of a warrior, but the looks of a pagent kittypet.
"His name was Lion when I knew him. Though, I believe he went by the name Lionspirit?" He answered, thinking for a moment, hoping he had given the right name.
Freckledorange remembered the name, but didn't know why. He was very young at the time of the war. He raked his brain going through the historic cats he'd learned about and finally remembered why the name sounded so familiar.
"He's gone to StarClan. There was an evil gang known as Primal Instinct. They had attacked many clans killing countless cats in their wake. But when they came for our clan and we tried to run Lionspirit was there holding off the attackers while DayClan got away. He was a hero. We were one of the few clans who came out of it without many casualties and it was because of his bravery that we can say that," Freckledorange said as he gave an uneasy look, he didn't know how to comfort anyone let alone a stranger, "I'm sorry for your loss."
The large white tom didn't say anything, however, his expression said everything. His face was frozen in disbelief as he felt his heart break. Finally, he blinked and broke the silence, "He-he died?" He choked out. The question wasn't meant for an answer. He just didn't know exactly what to say. Though he was proud of his brother for being a hero to the clan he loved. "Will you take me to his grave?" He wasn't sure if the Dayclan warrior would agree. It seemed like these cats were quite territorial and allowing a stranger onto their land wasn't ideal. Though, he hoped to at least go see where his brother had been buried.
Think Freckles, can you live with yourself if you deny this long lost brother from seeing his brothers grave? Yes. Yes you can. Now tough it up and deny him.
"Absolutely, let me take you there," Freckledorange said.
DAMMIT FRECKLES! I had one job and I screwed it up! Ugh. Whatever, it's not like mom even cares about borders, but I do...
Freckledorange began to walk and then looked back at Cloud. God he looked so sad, who wouldn't? He'd lose it if Fadingsight ever died, he'd destroy everything around him. Heck he didn't even know the guys name who entered. Should he ask or was the window of asking his name already closed now that he spit out that his brother died. He liked it better when he could just yell at people to stay off his property than deal with social situations like this.
"I'm Freckledorange," He said a bit shyly. Really he was trying to get the guy to say his name without really asking.
"Hm?" he snapped out of his thoughts. "Oh, my apologies! My name is Cloud." He felt bad that he was so out of it. The news about his brother had stung him. "Thank you for taking me to my brother."
"Yeah, no problem," Freckledorange said, resisting a purr.
Usually any compliment could make him purr, but he didn't want Cloud to think he was happy that he got to give him a tour of his brothers grave. Happy to help, but not happy that... Well this happened.
He stopped at speckled fields. His paw traced over the tall wildflowers around him coming across a few stones before he found Lionspirit's, "This is the one."
(Sorry this replies short, I had to go to the movies xD)
Cloud walked over to the grave, his heart heavy. He stared down at the grave, a tear escaped from his amber eyes and landed on one of the stones. He bowed his head to the grave for a moment, sending up a silent prayer before rising again and looking at Freckledorange. "I appreciate this. I will leave your territory now. I don't think there is anything left for me here." He didn't really want to leave. He wanted to learn more about the clan that his brother loved so much. However, he wasn't about to be rude and barge his way into the heart of Dayclan and demand to join.
"Yeah, of course, I'll see you out. Our neighbors can be a little rowdy so I'll smack 'em around if they're giving you trouble when you're trying to leave," Freckledorange said.
"Are you serious? He should stay, he's in mourning."
Zephyrglade was lying tucked underneath the flowers, his Russian blue form blended completely among the bluebells that even his blue gaze could hardly be seen among the ocean of watery hues. He stood up standing an impressive one foot and two inches tall which didn't even begin to describe how long the tom was. His fur was slick like a WaterClan warrior and his build was muscle toned and sleek like that of a league cat. While he didn't look a thing like Glowstar it was easy to tell by his build alone that they related somehow.
"Give the poor guy a break," the tom said leisurely.
"I don't know if you have the authority to do that," Freckledorange said sharply, Zephyrglade was apart of the Bright Brigade, but he felt neither had the right to give orders to others.
"Maybe. But I don't really care, if the guy wants to stay, let him stay. Do you want to stay Cloud?"
Clearly Zephyrglade had been listening in or following them around long enough to hear what the toms name was. This made Freckledorange's mythical pelt bristle.
"I don't want to be a burden..." the large white tom trailed off, unsure if he was even welcomed. He didn't want to tell them that he wanted to stay. That would be a little rude.
"Or don't do it. Because you'd have to follow the warrior code, meet strangers, rough it out, and you'd be required to fight just like your brother did so maybe not the best life for you," Freckledorange suggested.
He was conflicted. One cat was telling him to join but the other seemed like he didn't want him to. "Well...uh...what if it is something I want? I-I don't really have any other place to go...but like I said, I don't want to be a burden. If you want me to leave, I will leave."
"Look, I think it's just best that you leave, I'm sure you mean well and if you ever want to visit your brothers grave you're more than welcome, but I don't know if what we need right now is another clanmate. There's just so much conflict right now," Freckledorange said, but genuinely gave a sorry look.
"What if he wins in a fight against you?" Zephyrglade asked.
"He can't win in a fight against me, I'm a Day Stalker," Freckledorange exclaimed.
"Some of the apprentices can still beat you, Freckles. You might be able to take on a fox, but don't go around thinking you can take on anyone. Let Cloud show what he's got and keep in mind he just found out what happened to his brother. Whatever damage he's done that won't even scratch the surface of how well he'd fight on a good day," Zephyrglade said.
Freckledorange groaned, "Look, if you want, we can do a simple fight, see if maybe you got what it takes. Or maybe you just want to go home and come back later for this match cause honestly, I get it. I won't think less of you if you want to rest up a bit before deciding to take on this massive thing."
"Make it count," Zephyrglade encouraged, "Also your moms going to kill you when she finds out you fought an outsider who was grieving their dead brother."
"Well maybe she won't know that if you don't tell her," Freckledorange hissed at Zephyrglade, pompous kit, he always got his way on everything. Worse he acted like he was better than everyone and was usually right. Freckledorange's fiery gaze focused on Cloud as he got down low and gave a nod signalling that the battle had begun, "No kill," He said as if it needed to be confirmed, then again he didn't say no blood. Of course Freckledorange would avoid drawing blood, but he didn't want Cloud to, he wanted to see what he was made of.
Freckledorange started off by running at Cloud taking a quick unexpected dodge to the left before leaping at his opponent, his claws out to scare him figuring his first attack could hurt to get the guys adrenaline going, but the rest were soft.
Cloud was surprised at first until he realized that Freckledorange wasn't using claws to harm him. Cloud didn't want to use claws either. There was no need for bloodshed over something so small. Instead, her went with the fall as Freckledorange attacked then kicked Freckledorange over his head with his back paws then rolled along with his opponent to where he was stood above him, a sheathed paw on his throat.
"Are you kidding me, the battle can't be over yet," Freckledorange hissed.
"Uh, well it's over. He won. Cloud, buddy, you won man, congrats," Zephyrglade said leisurely.
Freckledorange looked like he was about to argue, but rolled over dusting himself off. Honestly, why not at this point?
"Yeah, sure alright. Let's go over to Glowstar, I guess we can fill you in on somethings along the way," Freckledorange thought as he walked, his long tail signalling to Cloud to follow him.
Zephyrglade seemed to oddly be waiting on Cloud, not moving with Freckles.
