Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Windchaser sat in the fields of gold and stared out toward the mountains. The sun was just beginning to peek the horizon. The leaves of the trees were turning beautiful fall colors and drifting away in the breeze. The morning air was chilly and her breath created a soft cloud in front of her nose. The summer had gone fast and so much has changed. Throughout the summer, she found out who she was as she grew into a fine warrior. However, she felt like maybe it had all been a dream. All the fun she had with her friends. She was so busy now, she rarely sees them anymore. She thought back to one tom in particular that she has missed dearly. But it seems he's just too busy for her anymore. She sent out a silent wish to be able to reverse time and savor the moments she took for granted.
Illuminatedpaw felt like there was no end to his duties, darting from dealing with elders ticks, to hunting, to battle training, to working with the group of apprentices he was assigned to. He hoped he made warrior soon.
He was coming back from a patrol when he spotted Windchaser. Eyes lighting up Illuminatedpaw took off at a run bounding towards her. "Windchaser-oof!" He cried as his paw hit a rock sending him into a tumble coming up to Windchaser in a heap. He chuckled weakly looking up at her. "Hi."
Windchaser's pretty green eyes lit up with surprise and joy as Illuminatedpaw flopped down at her paws. "Illuminatedpaw!" She greeted cheerfully. "Are you okay?"
Illuminatedpaw let out a sheepish laugh, "Yeah I'm fine, just uh... meant to do that." He said straightening up and shaking himself off, lifting a paw to bat at some of the dust on his coat sneezing. "Dramatic entry!" He said straightening up, "Ta da... "He trailed off before ducking his head. "But uh... anyways, how are you doing?" He asked bending his head to lick his chest cleaning away some dust and trying to cover up his embarassment.
A cute laugh escaped her lips as he tried to hide his embarrassment. Then she replied, "I could be better. I wish green leaf hadn't gone by so quickly... "
"I feel you!" Illuminatedpaw agreed nodding enthusiastically. Then realized he was nodding too much and took a deep breath trying to look more... calm and collected. "It'll be rough in leaf-bare but we'll be all right. I trust Glowstar'll have a plan to keep us going all right."
Windchaser smiled warmly at her friend before responding, "indeed, it will be. But your right. We will be fine with Glowstar as our leader." She paused for a moment then added, "You'll be a warrior soon, wont you?"
She nodded, "thats true. But I was also made a warrior fairly early and with everything that has happened to us recently, its understandable why you havent been made a warrior yet. What do you think your name will be?" She asked him. She remembered that when she was preparing for her naming ceremony, she was almost afraid of what it would be.
Illuminatedpaw paused tilting his head mulling this over. "I dunno, ive gotten sp used to Illuminatedpaw, its gonna be weird to change it now," He admitted, "I dont want to be illuminatedclaw though, that sounds... uninspired. But id like something short, the first part of my names long enough!" Illuminatedpaw said with a laugh
"Oo that is a good one." Illuminatedoaw mulling it over, "Its only one more letter than 'paw'. What other names are good... i dont want a lot of letters, so like Illuminatedspirit, or Illuminatedflower, or illuminatedflight, would all be so long. Illuminatedshadow would also be long." He mused.
