Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
[ in which Loki, a kadet soon to be cyd, finds herself faced with a force she has yet to defeat on her own: a fox couple, a mated pair. In the danger and chaos that ensues, she finds herself in the company of someone she never believed she'd meet in her life: a true friend. But will they reciprocate the feeling? Or scold her for her mousebrained ideas? ]
She remembered the way her mentor's eyes had lit up, not like smoldering candle flames, but a roaring fire when he found her outnumbered against a den of foxes. They'd had to call reinforcements and she was imprisoned until she had paid her way and promised him she wouldn't do something that reckless and ridiculous again. In all honesty, she really had made good on her promise; her mentor had scared the daylights out of her and she wanted to make him proud. But...
She stared up at the fox that bared its teeth at her as she backed up. Perhaps she could make a run for it; maybe she'd get help in time, before she was mauled. That was her thinking until she heard a growl coming from behind her. Whipping around, she was faced with another orange and white muzzle and she gulped. She was in the same situation as last time with two significant differences: 1) she hadn't sought them out, and 2) she didn't have anyone to come and save the day. She inhaled a deep breath.
(What kind of family does Loki have? Because I can reply to this with Midnightcomet but he basically adopts everyone he does that too or Sunrisepaw and they become BFFs. And I don't know which I wanna reply with)
[ well, Loki was the daughter of Tasman E'clair, though she didn't know until she was a kadet and just before Tasman's death. Tasman had kept the knowledge that Loki and her brother, Kolya, were her offspring in case anyone attempted to assassinate them to halt the E'clair line for the throne. The distance that Tasman placed between them in order to protect them, and the belief that Loki wasn't good enough for her birth mother, caused some tensions to raise between them and she was the reason their relationship became so estranged, though Tasman ultimately sacrificed herself so that Loki could have the protection of multiple lives while Tsar. She's very close with her mother, Elora, though.
In this thread, just before Tasman and Elora are killed, she's facing the tensions of not feeling good enough for her mother or the rest of the clan, which causes her to do some pretty... not so smart things. x"D ]
(Oh then she needs some light in her life! Sunrisepaw it is.)
Sunrisepaw had been out hunting when she smelled fox. At first, she'd started to head away from them, aware that one should always have back up when trying to run them off. But then, then she heard another cat. Immediately her big sister instincts kicked in, she dropped her prey and turned around. Whoever was there would need help. What she hadn't been expecting was to find two foxes and Loki. Acting quickly, she leapt for the closest fox, the one at Loki's backside. "Move!" Her claws sunk in, digging deep as the creature tried to buck her off. The fox howled, furious to find claws in it's back.
Startled by an unfamiliar – and unbidden – voice, Loki's green eyes swerved to meet the form of Sunshinepaw as the other kadet quickly got into a battle pose at her back. Blinking, the world slowing down as she kept her eyes on her, she wondered: Why did you come? What do you want from me? before it quickly evaporated in the heat of adrenaline. It burned like a toxin through her veins until she was unaware of everything except the jaws that attempted to snatch at her throat. Rearing back, she threw herself into the battle once more, throwing a punch here, a kick there, biting where she could and trying desperately to get out of the way before she was thrown from the fight. She found herself once more distracted though. How did she find me? Sudden pain shot through her skull and she winced, backing up and lowering herself to the ground. She was smacked in the head pretty good by... something. She wasn't sure what. Her vision was swimming. Before she could do much more, she found herself lunging forward and biting whatever it was, just as something struck her in her side and heat spread like a wildfire through her flank. Whatever it was that she'd aimed for, she'd made her mark and it yelped, scampering off. She was certain it'd be back, but her vision was starting to tunnel and she found herself growing tired. Stumbling a few paces away, she sat down, her head pressed to the ground.

Sunrisepaw watched as the two foxes disappeared into the bushes, scared off by the wounds they'd received. Taking stalk of her own injuries, she found a few scratches from her scuffle with her opponent but nothing too serious. She'd see the healer about them when she got back just in case. With that done, she turned her mind to Loki, speaking before she turned to even face the other cat "Lucky, I happened to come past, hm? We worked well together there, getting rid of--" Her eyes spotted the other kadet on the ground, something wasn't right. "Hey! Can you hear me!" Sunrisepaw hurried over to her side, worry seeping through her as she tried to gauge what was wrong.
Loki groaned despite herself, every movement and intake of breath causing her vision to form black and blue dots. She looked up at the other kadet with a frown on her face, feeling queasy. She was convinced if she had seen herself, she'd look green. "I... think I'm gonna be sick. My side." She winced and tried to turn to look at it, though quickly aborted that move; it only made the world spin faster. There were a couple of deep gashes along her flank, though it seemed it was more to do with sprained ribs than anything else. It was her first serious injury, however, and she was quickly working herself up.
