Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Siren is a charged, one of the few that never wanted to see life as a combatant. Life was simple and easy as a charged. Birth and raise kits, make sure they're strong or disown them. At least in her eyes, that's how it worked. But now there's word that she has to actually try! The nerve of some cats. To expect her to actually do anything. Sure, she knew the basics of fighting and would and could defend her family if needed but that wasn't her job.
Letting out a huff, the queen glanced down at the kits sucking at her belly. At least she still had time before she was expected to become a combatant. Only a few moons but still.
Emaline wasn't like Siren. Being a charged had never been on her list of 'things to be', it had just happened to her when she couldn't pass her trial, and she had been to frightened to try - and fail - again. She didn't mind being around kits, but she had never been interested in being a mother herself. Mostly because it was expected for her to have kits for the group. She was actually really happy about the change Jezebelle had made. She enjoyed learning more about how to fight and hunt. She felt like she improving. She glanced over at Siren, one of the few charged who didn't seem like she was pleased with having to actually fight and hunt, and pull her own weight in the group.
Catching the other she-cat staring, she snapped "what!? Got a problem!" What did the other charge want? Clearly, something if she was gonna stare. Was she jealous that she had kits and the other didn't? Surely not. Emaline didn't seem like the kind that wanted to have kits of her own. The poor fool had tried and failed in the trails. Smirking, Siren glanced away, maybe she saw it as a way for her to try again and become a Combatant. How unlikely.
If Siran though Em was staring at her, she was more conceited than anyone thought. Em didn't stare at anybody - hardly ever making eye contact - and often times kept her gaze on the ground. She'd make a terrible combatant. She bit back a snarky remark and just shifted her eyes. Em would probably be better off as a kittypet.
Snuffing her nose in the air, Siren turned to the kits. They were sleeping for the time being but soon they'd leave to try their hand at Combatants. Her daughters may one day end back up here with her, but her sons would be strong. The charged would make sure of that at least, even if she had to stand their and drill it into their heads herself.
