Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Mistyveil trudged through the snow before shaking off the last clumps from her paw and carrying on towards SummerClan. The clan she wanted to get herbs from her entire time as medicine cat, but oh no. Go to SunClan, sure it's all the way on the other end of the WORLD, but who cares. Go over there and get their herbs only to be tackled by their leader and find out that they're not a cult and don't follow the warrior code. That will be hilarious for a cat who lived under a rock for a good quarter of her life to experience.
Whatever SummerClan held she hoped they were as cheery and friendly as all the cats made them out to be. Anything would be a nice change of pace from the jock brained brutes of WinterClan. She didn't want to sound old, but back in her day WinterClan was about elegant survival, not wasting time with pointless dominations. Truly it was a tad embarrassing to attend gatherings and hear so many clans complain about hers. Nonetheless SummerClan kept to themselves and she was almost certain on a mathematical level that her clan had not upset them in recent moons.

She was not expecting the Winterclan Medicine Cat's arrival, but stood at the border where their clans would meet if that clan wasn't so secluded. It didn't ruffle Tuskblood's fur any that they weren't close. While Summerclan had not had many run-ins with the haughty group, she had heard plenty of stories to set a negative tone her her mew against them. However, she did have some form of appreciation since they so far didn't show any interest on picking feuds with her clan. The deputy glanced around before continuing on her path closer to the border. She did not expect to see anyone, but figured she would check anyways.
Mistyveil gave a slow wave of her tail, "I'm WinterClan's medicine cat, Mistyveil. I assume SummerClan follows the warrior code and will let me in?"
She wasn't entirely sure if SummerClan had changed like some of the other clans and wouldn't allow her passage through, but at least if they didn't she would be able to turn back and not have to walk far. Still WinterClan could use basic things like cobwebs or poppy seeds, none of that lasted or grew naturally in WinterClan which was why it was absolutely vital for her to befriend others clans. It was also why she found herself being like a mom that constantly had to say no to the WinterClan leaders. All of them just seemed to want to fight and if they fought a clan who gave them herbs they wouldn't get any herbs to heal themselves anymore. So truly, any clan she was able to get herbs from was on a WinterClan don't mess with list.

Tuskblood's head snapped towards the medicine cat, but she soon relaxed after she stated her title. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously for a moment. What if this wasn't the medicine cat? Her look fit the part from what she could remember from the gathering... Winterclan and Summerclan did not have any hostile feelings, for now. She couldn't imagine why they would send a spy. "Fine. You can come in." Her voice was gruff as she answered the medicine cat. "I would watch your tail, though. Some of our cats aren't as... well, nevermind." Usually the deputy would not spill so much information, but the dreams had plagued her mind almost every night and she couldn't think straight. "I will escort you around. The name is Tuskblood."
"'Some of our cats aren't as?' It's respectful to finish your sentence, mainly because when cats haven't finished their sentences with me in the past I usually get tackled down by some psycho. So please, if you were about to warn me about something dangerous, by all means say what is on your mind," Mistyveil encouraged.
She was like two possessed beings, her fur and eyes vertically cut in half. Hot rosy peach fur radiated like light shining through pink clouds on her left half. Icy shimmery Russian blue blurred on the other half like light shining through fog. Her right eye was a rare turquoise shade while her left was haint blue with glittery gold specks. Around her neck were yellow pansies traditionally warn by witches. Well as traditional as it can get when she was the first witch ever made in WinterClan. As a witch and a past alchemist she had acquired the ability to feel others emotions, but had decided against stretching out her senses to feel Tuskblood's.

Tuskblood let out a low growl of frustration and shook her head. She could understand why Mistyveil wanted to know, but she was angry at herself for bringing it up in the first place. Then again, she was a medicine cat. Could she trust her? "If you spill any of this information to any clan, I will have you hunted down or I'll hunt you down personally." She started with a grunt. It was difficult to tell whether she was joking or not and her beastly appearance added an element of intimidation. "Some of our members aren't in their right mind. There is a sickness going around the camp. Nightmares." Her hope was that maybe some good would come out of accidentally giving the medicine cat that tidbit of information. Maybe she would know a cure?
Mistyveil seemed unphased by the threat, however completely believed the she-cat. She just felt that if Tuskblood did decide to attempt to murder her that she could handle her own. If she could kill her entire family and not be found out for years than she could handle one blood thirsty cat. However she had no intention of telling anyone, she didn't have friends. Just a friend. She nodded along to Tuskblood, "I've heard of a few nightmare inducing... Events. But this type I've only heard of one before in SpringClan many many years ago when I was just an apprentice. Most of the time these end up being herbs that someone's sabotaged a clan with, usually the scent or eating them, even being exposed to the herb can send someone into a frenzy from the nightmares. But in SpringClan's case it was beyond that. The nightmare fed off of their fear which meant as long as they feared the sickness would never go away. They had to stand together with hope and positivity for it to clear. Sometimes I wonder if that's why SpringClan cats are so happy, that although they don't remember that event anymore that their elders always told them through generations the power of positivity so the evil doesn't come back."
"The tom who cured SpringClan was an apprentice at the time. He's a kittypet now, Crimsonloyalty, elderly. Lives at a medicine two-leg house. She heals cats, has an herb garden in the back. If you become really worried you should go see him," Mistyveil said, her eyes haunted dark.
