Dawn had made it's graceful appearance between the line where the sky met the land. Tuskblood gave thanks to her ancestors and Starclan for another day of life before setting out on her patrol. The deputy often patrolled the territory on her own, feeling that she could take a bit more time to inspect the little things compared to when there were others with her. The hardy she-cat appreciated the slight breeze that rustled the tall grass around her as she picked her way along the borders. Fresh scents of prey and morning dew brightened her senses and made her more aware. Nature had always been a friend and an enemy to her stronghold when she was a young kit, so she had high respect for it's forces. Her narrowed green eyes swept the territory around her, making sure to catch any flicker of movement just in case there was something that wasn't supposed to be there.
With so much going on, one of the few clan that SunClan had managed not to anger thus far was SummerClan. If you were going to go onto another clan searching for herbs, it was best to avoid those that were hostile towards the mere sight of you. Yet, it wasn't Littlebird that most of the clans were angry with, but Foxstar. She had mostly managed to stay out of the lime light, really only becoming directly involved when WinterClan led a raid onto their territory to steal away her two surrviving kits.
No the small gray she-cat had managed to stay mostly out of the public view, perfering to help asisit her clan's ambitions from afar. Today she needed a numbing herb, but it didn't grow under the harsh sunlight of their territory. It required shade, something that SummerClan had a little more of than SunClan. She wasn't even certain if it could be found here, but she hoped.
She crossed the boarder boldly with little hesitation. Littlebird didn't fear SummerClan, nor was she there to inflict any harm upon the peaceful clan. However her journey had been a long one, and the paints that adorned her fur was begining to crack, and become itchy. She listened closely, and followed the sounds of running water until she found a small stream. She lowered her self into the cool water, feeling all the reds, oranges, and yellows begin to flow away down the river.

Tuskblood's eyes narrowed even further into thin slits as she caught a spot of movement towards the border. Letting out a low growl, she stalked towards the figure. Despite her massive size, her paws hardly made a sound as they thrummed against the ground. As she neared, she could make out more of the she-cat's features and pick up the scent of Sunclan. This cat did not look very suspicious, but she was still an intruder nonetheless. Why would a Sunclan cat be here anyways? She knew they weren't trusted among the other clans, but Summerclan had no quarrel with them yet.
"What are you doing here?" The deputy challenged once she got in earshot. Of course, with her growly, deep voice, it was not hard to hear her from any distance.
