Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Mysterykit stood proudly on the rock she'd climbed onto, the fluffy black she cat lifting her chin proudly, trying her best to emulate the intimidating figure of her mother. Crimsonrose was always moving around WinterClan, head held high, scars covering her body showing off the might the former league cat possessed.
One day Mysterykit wanted to be just as mighty as her mother. Her mother though had urged her to forge her own path, rather than retread her mother's pawsteps. But Mysterykit didn't understand that. Her mother had been the right paw to Leatherstar... well before he got kicked out by Sweetpine. And had been so scary she'd probably chased off Sweetpine too! It made sense to Mysterykit.
But what Mysterykit didn't understand was why her mother hadn't taken leadership into her own paws. Crimsonrose was mighty. On par with maybe her fellow shard. Her mother would make a mighty leader, she'd taught Leatherstar... who had only lost when Sweetpine had seized an opportunity while Crimsonrose was away. Her mother could teach winterclan to be fearsome. She'd taught her.
Maybe that was what her mother was waiting for! A sign! If a sign showed up her mother would have to be pushed to take over, and then WinterClan would stop being in chaos.
She hopped off her perch and landed on the ground. She'd go find a sign, something that would confirm her mother as the leader WinterClan deserved... at least in her opinion.
But this meant she was going to have to do something her mother had forbade her from doing.
Sneaking out.
Excitement thrilled through her veins and she headed in the direction of the exit to camp, taking advantage of her black fur trying to slip out of camp.
Wolfpaw groaned. Where had Mysterykit run off to again, and why was he the one that was supposed to retrieve her? In all honesty, it should be Crimsonrose getting her own kit, yet here he was, trudging through the trees and mud from the previous night's rain.
Ever since the death of his mentor and brother, Nightflash, and his sister, Hurricanepaw, he hadn't been the same. He was quieter than usual, and instead put all his focus into his training. He didn't socialize with the other apprentices, and he didn't have any friends. All he had was his family, and he stuck to them.
Upon seeing Mysterykit perched up on a medium sized boulder, one that with ease Wolfpaw would struggle to get up on. It was no secret, he was a small apprentice, but that didn't stop him from doing most things. "Mysterykit!" Wolfpaw called out, annoyance apparent in his voice. "Get down here! Your mother is looking for you!"
Mysterykit had hopped up on a boulder to try and get a better view of where she intended to go in search of a sign of her mother being the right choice for leadership, when she heard a voice call her name.
She glanced back and tilted her head. "What is it Wolfpaw?" She asked, then turned fully when he said her mother was looking for. She huffed. "Well tell her I'm busy looking for the sign that says who should be leader!" She called back to him bunching her legs and landing on the ground. She turned back to him, though she was younger than Wolfpaw, she was a little bigger. Her mother fully grown tended to be just a bit bigger than some cats, and with her fluffy ginger fur and scarred body had a great deal of intimidation that Mysterykit didn't quite have just yet.
But Mysterykit was fluffy and big for her age, making her just a little taller than Wolfpaw. She flicked her tail. "Come on! Don't you want to find a sign or something that'll say who our leader should be so we can have one already?"
