Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. Martenfoot sighed deeply as he leaned against the entrance to the camp, looking over everyone with a thin smile. It had been a long day, and he was tired, but not enough to sleep yet. Instead, he pushed off from the wall and made his way over to the fresh-kill pile, where he took up a hare and delivered it to Breezestep. She purred gratefully, caught by surprise, while he bowed out and picked up a vole before heading over to the leader’s den and placing it down in the entrance. “Solsticestar,” he called softly, “have you eaten yet?”
The harbringer stretched, groaning softly. “Huh? Oh! Come in!” She hadn’t meant to fall asleep, but she had been exhausted from training Pondpaw all day. She blinked away the fuzziness in her vision. “Oh! Martenfoot!”
He picked up the prey and slipped into the den, offering her a warm, polite smile. “I was just bringing you prey in case you hadn’t eaten yet,” he explained after he set it down at her paws. “I’m sure you get very busy as Harbinger and good meals seem to suffer when cats get busy.”
