Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Acaciasea let her paws carry her as far as to the edge of the territory. Her bright eyes danced across the territory as she took in the scents and scenery. And then, she silently peeled away and headed back into the heart of WinterClan's own territory. She wandered a little ways until finally the she-cat was met with the mouth of a cave, lying under the outstretched roots of a very old oak tree. Excitement lifted inside her chest and she could barley keep still as she rushed forward. The tunnel system. She'd never dared set paw there, but now it seemed incredibly tantalizing.
However before she could so much as poke her muzzle in, she heard a snort of disapproval as a broad head poked out from the dark and sauntered lazily into the clearing. Still being quite young, the badger looked pretty daunting, considering her small size. Her chest tightened with fear as she sized up the enemy, who had already spotted her. She felt her body tremble fearfully as her claws slid out. Though she was absolutely terrified of this foe, she mentally tried to calm the erratic pounding of her heart. If the badger attacked before she could react, she was good as dead. If she was prepared, she could flee and fight the creature off if needed.
As it swung its massive head to size her up with beady eyes, it gave a sort of tired snarl before turning around and completely disregarding her. The fur along her spine was still prickling as she watched it bob away through the snow and disappear behind some thickets of dead underbrush. Heart still pounding, Acaciasea swallowed the lump in her throat and croaked out, "What just happened?"
Thistlescar had been wandering the Winterclan territory. He hadn’t been assigned to a patrol or a hunting party. So the tom took it upon himself to just go out for some casual hunting. He scrapped at a pile of snow next to very large oak tree. I’m the middle of digging his hole in the snow so he could place the mouse he caught in a safe place. The tom paused as he got the whiff of a strong scent. The kind of scent that has been ingrained into his head since he was an apprentice. The scent that brought back memories of a beast lashing out it’s long claws scarring his shoulder forever. He started to follow the scent until it go stronger. He was curious on what the badger was doing. He was hiding underneath the undergrowth watching the Badger calming confront Acaciasea. He held his breath as the Badger seemed to loose interest and walk away from the she-cat. When the coast was clear he left his hiding spot. “Are you okay?” He asked the she-cat.
She had to calm her erratic heartbeat, dancing against her rib cage with such force she was sure it would burst. And when Thistlescar emerged form the undergrowth, she jumped slightly and gave a sharp gasp of surprise. "StarClan you startled me — yeah, I'm okay; at least I think I am?" she said with half lidded confusion. Her pelt still prickling with unease, she finally encouraged her body to move. She didn't want to be there when the creature came lumbering back, and changed its mind. "I thought I was for sure going to be a goner. I can't believe it just... walked away like that!" Acaciasea exclaimed in confusion.
