A sharp contrast against the warm maple shades of the ground, squirming around and rustling the leaves. Her world was blurry, as her eyes had not opened to see the light of the world. She was simply too young. It was instinctual fight; she needed to find warmth. She was cold. Shivering. She was desperate, hungry. Her newly grown ice-white fur barely covered her entire body, exposing skin that visibly clung to her bones. She mewed out for help. She didn't know of a world in which predators existed. She knew of only two things: her mother's warmth, and that she couldn't feel it.
(Background: She has an unknown origin. She is very near newborn. She is currently near the old bridge, on Sunclan territory)
It was a particularly cold day, and Risingshine had been out longer than she meant to be. It was not often she made her way west, as most of her time was spent in the south by the ruins. On her journey back to camp, she heard the all-too-familiar sounds of a kittens cries. Granted, she hadn't heard a lot cry since her own were born moons ago, it was undeniable: there was a kitten somewhere. She knew it was too cold for a kit to be out alone, and this cry sounded rather young. She stuck her nose to the ground and sniffted around, shuffling the leaves and debris away until she could just make out a mewling white ball of fur. Risingshine took a step back. Was this really happening? Did she really just find an abandoned kit?
Lovepaw often took long walks on his own, prefering a little time to himself. He took this time to reflect, and to think about all that happened over the course of the day. Today was no different until the shrill cried of a young kit reached his ears. It was an unmistakable sound.
He moved forward until he found the newborn lying all alone, surprised that there were no other kits. He searched around the immediate area, but there were no scents to him any clue of why this kit was out here all alone. He prodded it gently, and tilted his head. He didn't know a lot about kits, but this one didn't look to good. It looked weak and clearly had no hope of carrying for itself. With a sigh, he bent down and lifted it by the scruff to take it back to camp.

Her tiny ears picked up the sounds of footsteps as the two cats approached. She mewed louder, hoping to catch the attention of what she presumed to be her mother. As soon as she was picked up by the scruff, she felt a sense of calmness and comfort wash over her. She assumed that she was safe. She shivered, still feeling the coldness hitting her pale pink skin. She just wanted warmth, and she now had faith that should would feel warmth once again.
Sorry Speckle, we must have replied at the same time XD
"Hey Risingshine" Lovepaw greeted setting down the little bundle so that it was still up against the warmth of his legs.. "I just took a look around, but I couldn't find anyone else around or any siblings"
(LOL its ok racer) She looked toward the red apprentice, green eyes still in shock of what she just found. She shook her head and snapped back to reality, nodding at Lovepaw in greeting. "I don't smell any other clans, nor any rogue markers...." She sniffed the small bundle, smelling nothing but the cold winds. How long had she been out here? She looked at Lovepaw in the eyes, green irises matching. "We have to take her to camp immediately. She's going to die out here. She was found on SunClan territory so she is now a SunClan kit." While Risingshine had little authority to confirm this, as a mother she wasn't just going to stand by and watch a kit die. She lifted the kit from between Lovepaws legs and into her mouth, rushing with the apprentice back to camp.

The kit mewed and squirmed in anticipation. The pressure on her neck soothed her, as she had felt her mother hold her similarly. She sniffed, but smelled nothing familiar. However, the tenderness with which she was handled still consoled her. She didn't even know the concept of harm; she only knew that the cold hurt her.
The red apprentice shrugged, not really willing to argue. Afterall kit were taken into the clan without question, so he didn't really have a reason to object. He followed behind the warrior, making sure to keep and eye out for danger.
