Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

The Sun God is male, btw. c:
And we can definitely name them. When I thought up the Sun God, I never gave them a permanent name, because I imagined that it would change, and he has no permanent name. That whoever worshiped him would just pick a name of their own. He introduced himself as the Sun God to SunClan, so that's what they called him. In the past, he might have been called Jivana, and another group halfway around the world might have called him Ra, but whatever name they called him, he'd still be the same Sun presiding over them. (And, I've always thought that the Sun and Moon Gods aren't just Gods, they simply are the Sun and Moon, hence why some might just call them Sun and Moon as well.)
It makes sense that SunClan and MoonClan might eventually start calling them something else though. (I can imagine someone getting irritated and being like "Whats your actual name.", and the deity just shrugs and say it's whatever the Clan wants to call them. So someone just picks a name for them, and it sticks.)
Personally, I think it'd be funny if SunClan/MoonClan, and everyone else had a different name for their deities. Like SunClan calls him Ciro (just picking random names here, btw, doesn't have to stick. cx), and MoonClan calls him Etu, and everyone else just calls him 'the Sun'. Or some cats just pick their own names, if they don't like whatever everyone else calls him. But, fun as I think that would be, that could very quickly get confusing, unless someone kept a log of who called which deity what, or the rper mentioned that 'this is what I call the Sun/Moon God'.
TL;DR - Sure, we can pick a name. I think it'd be funny to have different groups give them different names though, that the leader/members chose, rather than being told by the deities to call them one name or other. c:

I like it! So I think that MoonClan will call it the Moon God Avatea while we call you're god Etu. Then you can pick whatever for your clan, but I was thinking that MoonClan would start to become more religious after the freeing from the pride.

Sounds good to me. cx
I'll let you know what gets decided on for SunClan once I do some more looking into names. :3 (Might end up just going with Sol & Luna though, since we already have Roman influences with the Senator/Janus stuff. But still debating that.)
