THIS ROLEPLAY TAKES PLACE RIGHT BEFORE VERA E'TANI LEAVES. CHILDREN OF VERA E'TANI ONLY.
Her chartreuse eyes were fueled by a different type of fire today. The rhythmic sound of the sea calmed her, but she knew her time was running out. The bridge back to the mainland was exposed, as it only was once a month during the new moon, when the tide was lowest. The sun was high overhead now, but once it began its descent, the water would begin to rise. The Nemesis exhaled slowly, controlling the beating of her heart. The Pravian Empress knew that the time had come to resume such a title, but not within Primal Instinct.
So much had changed in the last two years. Vera had come to Primal Instinct as a fugitive and would depart as a legend, but whether or not her story here would end forever was unclear. Was she destined to return? Who knew. Vera had come to the league flanked by the three cats who meant the world to her, and now, all three were dead.
Vera knew she was living on borrowed time away from Pravus Nocte.
The syndicate had become desperate. Vykodin had stressed this to her for many moons, but his latest warning had pushed her over the edge: the league couldn't remain on the Isle forever, and when they left, the Pravians would be waiting. There would be no prisoners. Vera had mulled over this decision for weeks; the league was in a weakened enough state as it was, and the Pravians would be as strong as ever, no doubt. It was an unwinnable fight, but it was avoidable.
All the Nemesis had to do was go home.
Vera waited just a bit longer for her children to show up. She had invited them all here to say goodbye, although they didn't know that yet. They would come because she commanded it, but how they would react was out of her paws.
There was no sneaking up on Vera E'tani. He understood that, so he made no attempt to mute his steps as he stalked along the edge of the island and cut back toward his mother. His hard visage melted at the sight of her, and the corner of his mouth curled up in a warm grin. Valkyre bounded closer and sat down beside her, head tilted curiously. Scrambling up the slope after him was Valerian - creeping after the larger cat with wide eyes, both admiring his older brother's long strides and annoyed to be left behind.
"I heard from the others you're having some sort of meeting."
Thane moved through the lush plant life, his muscular build seemed almost more toned than when he was last seen at the league. His once dark golden pelt now shined a little brighter and his pale seashell green eyes had darkened and changed with age to a midnight blue. He had always been right at his mothers side for what felt like forever and one day he was gone. There was never any pleasantries about it. Ryker had been forced to leave and he didn't want to abandon the league like that. He rather disappear without too much suspicion than essentially banished. After all, leaving the league for the leader of SpringClan of all people? He didn't want his moms last look at him to be disappointment. But now standing before Vera E'tani the thought was no longer pressing.
Thane shrugged, "Call it stupidity, destiny, a stalker problem. I decided to see what it as about."
Sable-chan's black little shape was slowly making the journey over. She was supposed to be there by now, but it was a long trek...
A silent creature made her way to public spotlight. She was a slim and small figure, easy to miss if you weren't so keen on looking at your surroundings.
It had been a while since she had been called to one of Vera's family meetings, so she wasn't quite sure how well she fit in with her family. As if she fit in at all with them. Nypheris closed in to the three cats by the sea, nodded politely, and settled down, her tail curved around hrper paws.

Arden arrived silently, the Assassin slipping out of the shadows and sitting himself down quietly before his mother, tail curled carefully around his paws. If the tom knew what this was about, he didn't show it, though it was highly unlikely that even he knew too much. Truthfully, he didn't know anything, really. Vera had been... different, especially after the fire claimed one of her lives, and the betrayal of Ruslan. Considering his own failures, in protecting her and realizing what his mentor and uncle had been up to, he wasn't surprised to have been left in the dark. Perhaps it wasn't her intention for him to associate any perceived distance or secrecy as lack of faith, but the tom hardly felt as though he could trust himself all things considered, so he wasn't sure how she'd be able to.
Regardless of his inner turmoil, he'd never disobey her requests, and as such, he had arrived, his tail twitching a silent greeting to his siblings, but nothing else as he waited for their meeting to begin. He had a bad feeling about all of this, one that he couldn't quite place, though he supposed they'd be told soon enough.
